Amiami’s evening update yesterday included a listing for Ikkitousen’s Ryomou Shimei (maid ver.), a new figure from rookie maker Xenon. This is their first foray into the PVC market, following their unconventional entry into the figure arena last year with a soft vinyl version of Ryomou; as such it’s hard to estimate final production quality, but for a 1/6 scale figure the price seems on par with other similar releases (7,329 yen retail). She comes with detachable handcuffs, and is scheduled for release on October 24th of this year. Figure images below:

kinda cute, but I think the sculpt will prove to be low on detail.
From what’s seen here, not too bad IMO. Hopefully they’ll be able to hold their own against the heavyweights of the industry.
The facial expression leaves something to be desired because (unless I’m missing something) it doesn’t seem to fit the character well. The colors are on par with what is the norm but they are nice and compliment each other in their contrast.
I look forward to seeing how the final product turns out.
Seriously, why do newcomers try the Ikki Tousen route? Why not tackle something less aggrandized? Try FSN or something a little lacking in the figure department. I seriously don’t care about the characters of IT. (no offence to those who like them, it’s just me). :P
