I thought Griffon’s WHF Ariake 18 lineup was complete with their listing a few days back, but it seems such musings were premature – last night they unveiled a nekomimi-clad Kanu Unchou resin kit from Ikkitousen that will be making its sales debut at the event. The kit is an unpainted/unassembled resin cast kit with a total of 42 parts, 1/7 scale (11.5 cm tall), with a sculpt from Akiyama Akio (previous work includes this Hakufu cold cast from Griffon’s R-Line brand). The kit includes chibi versions of Chouhi Ekitoku and Ryuubi Gentoku, and it seems clear that the skirt part (at least) is removable. Griffon will be bringing 70 copies of the kit to the event, where it will retail for 8,800 yen; no word of mass production as a finished kit has been announced, but this is one we’ll be keeping a sharp eye out with the hope of seeing a cold cast or PVC version announced soon. pretty tempting, in the (hopefully) eventual PVC form.
Wow…nice!
It scares me that I actually like that . . . .
@ Loplop – What’s the problem with it? LOL
I want a pvc version damn model kit. LOL.
-Somebody tell me, should I still keep the preorder for Kanu’s Blue Bikini by Taki Corp? It looks good the face and everything. Just something that doesn’t want me to buy it. I got the Summer Kanu preordered?
I’d say that any Taki kit is a risk, objectively speaking. Subjectively speaking, I’d say get both. Then again, I’m kind of crazy when it comes to Kanu.
Speaking of Griffon, what happened to their Phantom Kingdom Pram PVC? Was that delayed or canceled?

Did they ever announce a Pram PVC? It doesn’t ring a bell…
Yep, they did. It was featured on a poster of future releases of Griffon PVCs right next to Rozalin (Which has had its preorder period started some time ago).
