Word came in from the World Hobby Festival website over the weekend that the circle list is now online for the upcoming WHF Ariake 17 (list by space, list by kana, hall map). For those unfamiliar with WHF it’s essentially a miniature version of Wonder Festival: an event where garage kit dealers gather to hawk their wares and PVC makers display some of their hot upcoming items. WHF Ariake 17 will take place on Sunday, December 23rd, from 11:00 – 17:30 in East Hall #1 of the Tokyo Big Sight. Despite being just a week before Comiket (argh) I’m going to try to make it down for the day and whip up some sort of event report; if you missed the last one you can check out our look at WHF Ariake 16. More geekdom below:
A quick look over the circle list reveals that mystery sculptor Hikouki Dake wa Kanben na will be making an appearance, creator of the one kit I was most lusting after from the previous event: this lovely sculpt of Meg from Mahou Shoujo Ai 2.

As we reported in May he was unable to sell the kit at the event due to the confusion surrounding the transfer of the game’s license from Hue / Colors to MS Pictures, but now that the transition is complete I’m holding out hopes that he’ll be able to receive permission without any problems and finally give us a chance to pick up this amazingly kick-ass kit.
Stay tuned for further HD coverage of WHF Ariake 17!
Mmmmmmmmm……looking at that picture make s me hungry for some reason….heh.
I can’t wait to see this painted up- it looks sexy/slutty as hell.
In a good way of course.
One of those rare kits where there is tongue action. Definitely great looking. 8)
Hope some major company picks it up for a general PVC release.
It’s a pity American fans never seized on the creative side of otaku culture. An American Wanfesu (or even WHF) would be a blast and a half.
Of course, I’m just as guilty of laziness as anyone else.
that’s pretty nuts I had no idea there were so many figure artists out there lol. I only ever come across the most popular names like Alter, Kotobukiya, Reflect…ummm yea that’s all I can think of off the top of my head lol
Nice figure…I think she’s askin for somethin lol

I think you might be confusing PVC figure manufacturing companies (such as Alter, Kotobukiya, Goodsmile, etc.) with individual sculptors; i.e. the people who craft the original models that are then replicated by the PVC figure companies.
Reflect (Yoshizawa Mitsumasa) is a sculptor, as are most of the dealers listed as participating in this event.
