Ero figure maker Gigapulse posted images on its official site yesterday evening of the second figure in its 11th round of the Giga Collection series, Kazama Mana vol. 2 from Mink eroge Yakin Byoutou 2 (Erogamescape). The figure is scheduled to go on sale in two limited edition DX versions and an unlimited regular version, with the limited versions coming with a “man part” (version A is clear, B is colored) and a few other minor differences. Like the first figure in Giga’s Yakin Byoutou 2 lineup (due out in December) this one clocks in at 1/8 scale and is scheduled for release in March of next year at 8,925 yen (limited editions) or 5,775 yen (regular edition). Pictures of the various versions below:

I’d consider this more seriously if it weren’t for Gigapulse’s terminal inability to sculpt faces that don’t look like they have wads of cotton stuffed in their cheeks. I suppose that could be its own medical fetish, but come on guys, do you even look at the character designs you’re trying to mimic? It’s kind of hard to tell…
like the pose. that’s one big ecchi figure, no way i can have that around my house haha.
“For my eyes only”
No way in the world, my sister will accept it displayed in my room. lol
Haha I wonder if they will come with some offer to let buyers transplant their faces onto the “man part”
If not, I’ll just stick a pic of my face on it ^_______^
I really like it, but a little over the top for me, I like to openly display my stuff, and this is a little too explicit, especially with my parents popping in to my room every now and then, I can barely take the embarrassment of my mom seeing a topless statue.
Though if it wasn’t for that fact, I would totally get it.
Ah, the reason to have high shelves and crowded/clever displays.
Not sure i want one yet, but i love the fact that the Japanese would produce something so out there.
God bless you, Giga Pulse.
I take the cake. This is as interesting as it gets with Giga Pulse!!
I might just settle for the regular edition. I’m not particularly interested to pay 3000yen more for a man figure and a slightly different sculpt of the female protagonist. I prefer the dark see-thru stockings of the regular edition too.
Also, any idea what happened to the 10th round figures of 「人妻戦隊 アイサイガー」? Still no prototypes to show. I’m very interested in these G cup MILFs. :o
p.s. I think once we’re over 30, we can display some of these naked figures in our room, even if we’re living with our parents. Luckily, I’m living on my own now. :)
There’s probably something wrong if you’re over 30 and living with your parents. Still, can’t have too many people over.
Will stick with the regular edition. I don’t feel that paying 3000 extra for a figure of a man is worth it, if I wanted one I’d buy an action figure.
Lol, just noticed, they’re saying `On Sale March 2003′. A figure 4 1/2 years overdue.

Nothing wrong actually for Asians to live with their parents, even when they’re in their 30s and married. It’s part of the asian culture of the extended family. Of course, some Asian countries are more cosmopolitan (e.g. Singapore) and prefer to have small nuclear family units these days too. We also like more privacy. :)
Anyway, what with the high prices of apartments and increasing rental costs these days, more singles in their 30s are still staying with their parents. :)

I know. I’m Asian too.
Well, from what I’ve seen, it seems alright for women to do so, but a little strange for men. Every region/city/etc has its own norms anyway.
And if one were living with one’s parents and collecting erotic figures, it’d be more convenient to just move out and avoid the nagging/discomfort/stuff.
Still waiting on the first series to be shipped, I pre-ordered them a while back. I have to agree, regular edition for me too on the new ones.
Off Topic: What people have to remember is that what is normal in one culture is not the same in others. My in-laws are learning that right now. It’s very common in many Asian families for married children to still live with them until they have kids of their own. But being a Westerner, the idea seems strange due to our cultural norms. . .

As of yesterday there is still no movement on the Aisaiger set. It’s listed as a Fall ’07 release but that window is vanishing rapidly; I wonder if they’ve abandoned the project altogether or if it’s just being delayed.

My best Japanese friend is in the “over 30 and living with parents” crowd, and I’d have to agree that in his case at least something is wrong. :( That said, the wrongness has more to do with the fact that he goes in and out of NEET status every year or so and not with the particulars of his living situation.

According to the Gigapulse set the the earlier 11-series figures (Ren and Mana) should be shipping in mid-December. Here’s hoping they don’t get delayed any further.
Wow………
Just wow……
Love the adult theme here- we definetly need more toys like this but something with these doesn’t do it for me.
Oh well……

Well, in Japan at least, it used to be pretty regular for people to live with their parents even after the age of 30, iirc. Land prices used to be so high that children would stay in the same house as their parents would until they inherited it, to save money on their own house. And of course, the whole parasite singles phenomenon is still in vogue now.
I have a friend whose uncle is living with his mother, and he’s nearing 40. We know he’s not doing it to save money because he owns a whole house of his own – but uses it to rear his dogs.
All I can say is that probably the opinion regarding all this probably differs from person to person. Some of my friends think it’s weird to live with one’s parents after a certain age, but yet others think otherwise. It’s kinda hard to tell what the other person thinks of your living situation. I for one didn’t like to feel the pressure (imaginary or not) to justify my hobbies to my relatives, so I just came to Japan and I doubt I’d want to go back to living with my parents except in a worst case scenario.
Also, I have to agree with your comments on the cotton-wad faces. However, Gigapulse’s figures are probably the only chance we’ll have in a long time of getting a figure of a nurse cumming into a beer bottle, and others.

I know of other family situations where the method of household succession you describe is still going strong, and I think it’s a great system when it works. There are people like my friend though who could probably use a good kick in the seat of the pants to force them to become self-subsistent, or they may never really get there…
“I for one didn’t like to feel the pressure (imaginary or not) to justify my hobbies to my relatives, so I just came to Japan and I doubt I’d want to go back to living with my parents except in a worst case scenario.”
The same exact sentence applies to me, and is one of the biggest reasons I’m here right now (the biggest obviously being the stuff that ends up being blathered about on this site). I definitely sympathize.
Regarding the figure here, I’m thinking about it despite the face as well… the jury is out until some independent sample reviews come in though.
Here’s hoping the Aisaiger set is just delayed and not cancelled. However, with no prototypes to show for, the chances of it getting cancelled is higher now… :(
As for the social/cultural situation mentioned in this thread, my take is always: different people, different strokes. I dislike to impose any judgement on their personal choices as they may have their reasons, as long as their choices don’t hurt others.
e.g. I don’t smoke and dislike the smell of cigarettes. However, lots of my friends do. And as long as I stay upwind and they don’t blow the smoke in my face, I don’t mind.
Social/Personal liberties are a premium these days. Just think of the coup in Thailand, wars in the asia/middle east/europe/africa and the crackdown in Myamar/Burma. Even closer to us anime hobbyists is the recent clampdown on the doujin circle.
Peace mates. :)
p.s. back on topic: as for the bulging cheek look on her face, I just imagine she has something in her mouth… :D
Looking at this causes a rift right down the middle…
1. I really want one, so I’m highly interested. Probably going to go for the clear guy and clean face.
2. I don’t know what the “ero zone” looks like, so I’m driven to not buy it until I see other Giga Pulse items.
