Figure Review: Organic’s Felicia PVC from Vampire (Darkstalkers)

When this PVC conversion of Melting Neuron’s Felicia was first announced back in May I was pretty excited. I’d had my eye on the resin for awhile as an example of a truly impressive sculpt, and while I’m not a huge fan of Felicia (or heavily musclebound heroines in general) I felt it was imperative to pick this up both to support the sculptor and as a study in the nexus of … well, “cute and brute”. Unfortunately Organic’s take on the piece is a critical failure, but in a rather bizarre way; read on for the (literally) nitty gritty details.

[ERO] Figure News: Movic’s Sekirei Tsukiumi sample up at Toranoana, castoff 99.9% confirmed; Musubi (race queen ver.) castoff scooped

Akiba Hobby posted yesterday evening with a review of a PVC sample of Movic’s Sekirei Tsukiumi figure (the same one we’ve been reporting on for a couple of months now). Whether by accident or by design, the bust part of Tora’s sample was left slightly askew in what stands as the clearest evidence yet of her castoff possibility without actually being [ERO]. Those on the preorder fence over this are advised to take action now… In other Sekirei news, Akibajin Blog recently and very definitively confirmed the castoffability of Movic’s upcoming Musubi (race queen ver.) that we scooped at Wonder Festival. Aside from her official Movic preorder page she’s not available anywhere else yet, but we’ll keep you posted. 9/14 Edit: It’s official: Akibajin presents confirmation of the Tsukiumi castoff, both above and below. Matsu is up as well, and she’s looking great! (no more)

Figure News: first ever Gundam 00 heroine figures unveiled

GA Graphic brings us the scoop late last night from the Banpresto booth at the 45th annual Amusement Machine Show: Wan Ryuumin and Sumeragi Ri Noriega, two heroines from the upcoming Gundam 00 TV series, will be seeing PVC figure incarnations. Since they’re from Banpresto and on display at the “Amusement Machine Show” it’s natural that these are prize figures, but they’re looking rather nice regardless (especially from certain angles)… With this as a starting point I’m cautiously optimistic that we can expect some good things from this batch of Gundam heroines in the future. These will be streeting in February of ’08, and we’ll keep you appraised of any preorder availability should it arise. (no more)
