Wonder Festival 2007 Summer garage kit preview, part II

As we prepare for this coming Sunday’s Wonder Festival 2007 Summer we bring you HD’s second and final preview of the new garage kits scheduled for release at the event. Again, only dealers with some online presence and the stated intent to release new items have been listed; the first part of the preview can be found here.

Figure News: Max Factory Emiya Kiritsugu PVC (Fate/zero version) listed at Amazon

Emiya Kiritsugu, Shirou’s enigmatic foster father in Fate / stay night and one of the main characters of the serial novel Fate/zero, is being made into a figure by Max Factory – or so says this Amazon page. While it’s not a full fledged preorder listing yet it does note that the figure is scheduled for release in January of 2008; this may be a spoiler for a scoop meant for Wonder Festival this weekend, so perhaps we should pretend we didn’t see it… Edit: lu-k notes that both this and the earlier announced Saber/zero were on display at Chara City in Akihabara on July 27th (Moeyo scoop). Figure News: Goodsmile’s Nendoroid line gets an official site

Goodsmile’s Nendoroid line of super-deformed action figures now has an official site! This one came out of left field… The content thus far seems to be merely a summary of the Nendoroid lineup to date, though the site does hint at a new line of Petit Nendoroid figures to be unveiled in the near future (perhaps at Wonder Festival?). I’m not sure how they can get much more petit than they already are, but if nothing else this shows that Goodsmile is strong and growing (or that they’re trying to push sales of some of the less exciting items in the Nendoroid line, or both). We’ll keep an eye on the levitating Saber as this develops. (no more)

Figure News: Freeing’s bunny girl Kyon no Imouto PVC from Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuuutsu up for preorder

First scooped here at HD a couple of weeks ago, Goodsmile today confirmed the release of a 1/4 scale (18 cm tall) Kyon’s sister (bunny girl ver.) PVC figure coming from Freeing in October at 8,800 yen retail. She’s already up for preorder at Getchu and will likely be an instant sellout wherever she appears, so those interested should watch their preorder locations of choice with hands on the trigger. [ERO] Figure Review: Solid Theater’s original Kimono no Onna no Ko Isuzu Tsumugi (Hobby Stock ver.) PVC

When this figure was unveiled at Comiket 70 a year ago and subsequently offered for preorder in April I was pretty psyched; an ero-ero kimono-clad katana-wielding girl in an attractive pose? Sign me up! When the kit arrived in the mail yesterday evneing it soon became apparent that Solid Theater’s production quality failed to live up to the kit’s delicious design, however; to what extent this failure was manifest is fully evident below:

[ERO] Figure News: Cerberus Project Ignis (Wonder Festival resin kit ver.) KITAAAAAA~!!

Those following our Wonder Festival news may have noticed the appearance of a listing for a Cerberus Project Ignis kit buried deep in our recent rundown of garage kits present at this summer’s event. Yesterday afternoon Cerberus updated with pictures of said kit, and it’s safe to say the heroine of 2005 Nitro+ release Jingai Makyou has recieved a glorious new lease on life… I hope and pray that a PVC maker who can do justice to this will pick it up. [ERO] Figure News: Hobby Channel teases with visions of Yamato’s exquisite Cobra-Kai Kanu

Yamato has been trotting this ero-ero 1/5 scale Cobra-Kai sculpted Kanu Unchou (Ikkitousen) kit out at conventions for over half a year now, so you’d think her appearance on Hobby Channel would bring some indication as to a price or sales date along with it – alas we are left in limbo, aside from the consolation that this is the most official presence she’s had online to date. Here’s hoping for a swift transition to preorder! Picture below:
