Media Side
- Akiba Blog scoops the release of Moetan Sub Reader, another surprise attack on the front of incredibly warped English education. IWEE, to coin an acronym. Even more garish scenes are available from the official site. Laugh intrepidly when you fall into crisis!
Ero Side
- A long explanation and apology for the release delay of FlyingShine’s Jokyoushi was posted to the game’s official site yesterday. According to the post, the game was initially slated to be a plotless ero-fest and the release date (December 22nd) was decided on accordingly. After recieving input from fans and retail store contacts, though, the scenario writer decided to overhaul the story entirely. While the rest of the game’s production is basically on track (i.e. almost complete by now) it will be awhile yet before the new story is finished. The writer hastens to reassure us that the game will eventually see a release, and that scoops will gradually be appearing on the site and in eroge magazines.
Why is this news? It’s not, really, but I can’t help but be fascinated by the occasional glimpse into the inner workings of the eroge production machine.
- Eroanime News
- Pink Pineapple has a sample video up for its March 24th release of the Kakyuusei 2 anthology OVA. No decapitating lactation in this one, but Hininten Gausu will be picking up the slack on December 22nd.

Hobby Side
- [ERO] Gigapulse has announced that its seventh PVC release, set to come out in summer 2006, will be based on TinkerBell’s Inyoumushi. I might be more excited about this if Gigapulse didn’t have such a track record of overpriced, low quality figures.
- Ojou-san BANZAI!! Polygonia recieved the second release candidate of Wafudou’s Yayoi PVC on December 7th, and he’s given it his stamp of approval. Along with that approval the item has been released into the wild, appearing on display at Yamagiwa Soft yesterday (scoop courtesy of Akibajin, as usual).
Work proceeds apace on the second installment of How to Comiket, with the main text fully written. A bit of editing, a few graphics and we’ll be ready to roll, probably by early this weekend. I’ll try to get it out before Saturday’s Akiba catalog trip.
