Media Side
- Today’s centerpiece in the continuing parade of winter 2006 anime site launches is Lemon Angel Project, which I’ll guardedly say looks promising due to its lack of male characters in the splash image. Hey, a fellow can hope.
- The Disgaea anime site is re-launched today, confirming a piece of news that I’m pretty sure is stale by now. If not: NEWS FLASH: Disgaea is being animated. When will it air? Saa…
- WOWOW’s official Hanbun no Tsuki ga Noboru Sora site confirms that it’s slated for a January 12th broadcast launch.
- Tactical Roar sports a new promotional movie on its official site today.
- There’s a promo movie up over at Binchou-tan headquarters, as well.

- The official site for Pretty Cure Max Heart The Movie 2: Jesus Has Returned As A Little Girl And His Hair Is Thrice The Volume Of His Body is now online.
- Speaking of movies, the cinematic incarnation of Fullmetal Alchemist will go on sale January 25th in DVD and UMD formats.
- Them’s a lot of sexy back(and front)sides: Mediaworks’ publishing arm represents this month with several savory novel covers, which the pages they hide must not be judged by. In other bookish news, Akiba Blog notes that I’m not the only one thinking way, way, way too much about moe.
Ero Side
- Leaf’s To Heart 2 xrated scoops the second of two minigames that will be part of its December 9th release, this one entitled “Doki Doki Panic Library”. It seems to be a brick-stacking puzzle game a la Puyo Puyo Fever, only with books instead of Puyos.
- Alice Soft has two more of its Galzoo Island monster girl character descriptions online, Sarufa and Nekomatamata.
- The December issue of P-mate Advanced scoops G.J?‘s upcoming title, which will apparently be a co-production with its Tech Arts sister brand Squeez. If I had forked over the eight bucks for the magazine yesterday I could tell you more about it right now, but rationality kicked in and told me to refresh G.J?’s page until we’re given the announcement for free. I’m guessing it’ll come in the next few days…
- Art announces that its next release will be entitled “Costume☆Player”, and its genre will be “Cosplay Renai ADV”. In equally pageless news, Bishop‘s next release will be called “School Heaven” and is slated for a January ’06 release.
- Eroanime Corner
- In eroanime news, Galge.com has accumulated its various stills from Soft On Demand’s upcoming Nasase Ren OVA and posted them here, along with a promotional movie (hit up the link under the purple “ファイルダウンãƒãƒ¼ãƒ‰” box). The promo consists of fairly graphic stills from the episode with a female voice actor talking over them; her dispassionate explanation of the plot combined with the motionless background imagery comes across as one of the creepier things I’ve seen in awhile.
- D3’s White Bear brand has several more stills online for its November 25th release of Nee, Chanto Shiyou Yo!. The site also notes that a promo video will be uploaded on November 18th.
- Milky Anime provides more details on the extras to be included with its Bible Black box set, including this B5-size book of illustrations.
- Vanilla adds more stills to its Shojo Auction vol. 1 page (December 9th release), and launches an official page for Chibo vol. 2.

Hobby Side
- On Sale Today: Bandai’s Meyrin Hawke and Meer Campbell Voice I-doll PVCs. Why did they have to pick such dull, static poses? That said, the Meer is certainly contemplatable. [Akibajin Blog weighs in]
- More goodies cloned from the Akibajin Blog: previews of Max Factory’s Morisaki Nao from Soul Link, Goodsmile’s Kasukabe Saki (Kaicho cosplay) from Genshiken, and Max Factory’s leaf bikini Naru from Love Hina. Also, a review of Gargoyle’s Genshiken gashapon. Ohno is the best of the bunch, although by and large they’re pretty hideous. :( a few more color shots of Yujin’s upcoming SR Yurie from Kamichu! round out Akibajin’s daily cornucopia.
- The Figure Alternative blog continues its release schedule announcements with this comprehensive list of January’s bishoujo figure releases. Some highly anticipated items…
- Sights such as this remind me of the unhappy curse of early adoption (and supporting local retail establishments). Fifty percent off. Fifty percent. ;_;
As was perhaps to be predicted, I wound up heading to Akiba yesterday after work. Five hours on a train does wonders for the complexion, let me tell you. I tried to pace myself this time around in anticipation of this month’s later releases (Moegaku, Queen’s Blade, Rushuna, Ohno, a repair job for the heater in my room, etc); we’ll see how the whole “fiscal restraint” thing works this time around. Illustrated acquisitions report coming soon.
