Cospa does Tifania dakimakura, Kanokon towels

Following the announcement last week of a similar item from Chara Hai, preorders went online yesterday for a Tifania hug pillow from Cospa and Zero no Tsukaima 3. Like other pillowcases in Cospa’s lineup this one retails at 9,450 yen and 150 x 50 cm in size, double-sided with original illustrations on both sides. Release is expected in late August.

Listings also went up for reissues of a few other Zero no Tsukaima items from Cospa, as well as a new lineup of Kanokon goods including a Chizuru towel (bikini ver.), Nozomu towel (white shirt/bloomers ver.), and Chizuru cushion cover. All three are due out in late July. Images below:

Zero no Tsukaima Tifania dakimakura announced

Explanations of the differences in pillow fabric can be found here. Tifania pillow images below:

Resinya’s Louise castoff revealed

Moeyo! Akibajin Blog posted a review of Resinya’s camisole-clad Louise from Zero no Tsukaima today, and along with it the surprising revelation that she is castoffable (albeit unofficially so). According to Moeyo’s documentation the castoff procedure isn’t exactly easy, but her dress is removable without irreparable damage; the censorship in the post makes it impossible to tell for sure, but he says that her upper half (while contoured) is not painted to indicate deliberate castoff readiness. The figure was originally released in late April at 6,980 yen with a sculpt from Kazuki and is now available through standard distribution channels such as Play-Asia. (no more)

Figure News: January 25th news roundup

A comprehensive list of Wonder Festival 2008 Winter event-limited items, speculation regarding the castoffability of New Line’s Kousaka Tamaki (private version), Zero no Tsukaima Louise and Wolf and Spices Horo from Resinya, and a hot Kusanagi Motoko action figure from Medicom Toy.

Anime News: Zero no Tsukaima season 3 confirmed

It’s been widely rumored for the past month or so that Zero no Tsukaima would see a third season, and proof comes in today via Moon Phase in the form of the cover of the 13th 0nT novel. No details have yet been divulged regarding when the series will air or what content it will cover, though the hope among fans is that it rights some of the wrongs inflicted by what turned out to be a less than well-received second season. We’ll be keeping an eye on this for further details; the official 0nT anime site is here. (no more)

Figure News: Alter’s Louise (bustier ver.) PVC from Zero no Tsukaima up for preorder

Alter put a page up on their official site today for their upcoming Louise (bustier ver.) PVC figure from Zero no Tsukaima, and Moe Soul followed up almost immediately with a preorder listing. She’s sculpted by Otsuyama Houjun, 1/8 scale (19 cm tall), and due out in January of next year at 5,040 yen retail (tax included). Other sites should have her up for preorder soon~. (no more)

Figure News: Kotobukiya’s Shiina, Silfa, Nijihara and Pastel Inks, Koakuma Louise, and “theater version” Rei up for preorder

Kotobukiya made a splash yesterday evening with the preorder listings of a whole gang of new figures, including Shining Wind’s Shiina Kanon, To Heart 2 Another Days’ Silfa, Moetan’s Nijihara Ink and Pastel Ink (TV color version reissues), Zero no Tsukaima’s Louise (koakuma ver.), and Evangelion’s Rei (plug suit ver.). They’re all due to street in December and sort of blur together in my mind in a big lump, though the Rei does stand out (perhaps due to viewing under the influence). My brain tells me that the road to Eva goods collection is paved with financial death, but my itchy preorder finger is hovering over the button… ;_; (no more)

Goods News: Zero no Tsukaima Louise (ver. 2) dakimakura coming from Chara-Ani

The Dakimakura Integrated Research Institute reports that anime goods maker and online shop Chara-Ani put up a listing yesterday for a new hug pillow (case only) depicting the feisty heroine of Zero no Tsukaima, Louise. It’s available for preorder from now through November 30th (which may be a typo as the sales date is listed as November 23rd) and retails for 8,000 yen, a nice price for a double-sided pillowcase of standard 150×50 cm dimensions. Good news for the Louise fans indeed. Pictures below:

Anime News: Genshiken 2, Doujin Work, Ikkitousen OVA stills from Media Factory online at Hobby Stock

Via Moetry: Hobby Stock has posted the results of a trip they took to Media Factory‘s animation HQ, coming away with some great new images from some of the projects they’re currently working on. First up is a superb bit of Genshiken season 2 production art, looking very much like a Kio Shimoku original piece… dokidoki. Next up are several stills from Doujin Work, the first to make it online, and finally a few shots from the ero-ero Ikkitousen Dragon Destiny onsen OVA to be included with the limited edition release of volume 1 of the TV anime (on sale June 22nd). There are some Zero no Tsukaima 2 images up as well, but I believe they’re all the same ones that Famitsu had up in its earlier coverage. I’m still blinded by the magnificent new Ohno artwork, may take a bit to recover… (no more)

Anime News: Famitsu scoops Zero no Tsukaima season two, figure series announced

The first still shots from Zero no Tsukaima season 2 have made their way online today courtesy of Famitsu, along with character designs and a list of the main cast and staff. With a new director and several other key staff changed from the first series much is still uncertain, but the familiar visuals are reassuring… as long as they keep the sparkly scene wipes intact I’ll be happy. In other 0nT news, a line of figures of the main cast has been announced by Comic Alive, where the manga is serialized. Unfortunately it seems that to acquire them you have to buy two copies of the magazine per character and make a trip to the post office for a 1,000 yen postal money order; an awfully lame set of conditions for a ~10 cm figure. I may just go for the Kirche, though. :3 (no more)
