Figure Review: Daiki Kougyou’s Seyada Tara

When word first broke over a year ago at Wonder Festival 2007 Summer that Vispo’s Seyada Tara kit would be seeing a PVC incarnation from Daiki Kougyou, shock and awe was a phrase that handily described my mental state. While she doesn’t fit the normal spectrum of what I’d look for in a 2D girl, her phenomenal retro-futuristic design combined with the epic sculpt and sheer colossal presence of the figure compelled me to plunk down the large portion of paycheck required to fund her acquisition. All the pieces are in place for a truly historic figure, but does Daiki live up to the task? Read on!

Seyada Tara preorder open!

Daiki Kougyou‘s epic Vispo-sculpted Seyada Tara PVC from Alice Soft’s Daiakuji / Rance VI is now available for preorder! Initially announced as a Daiki item last summer, as we reported following Wonder Festival 2008 Winter her release specifications have been set: she’s due out in July of this year at 1/4 scale (33 cm tall), with LED equipped headgear, at a retail price of 30,450 yen. Vispo’s Shiratori Amane release details

Word is in tonight from Cafe Reo that they’ll be handling distribution for the Vispo-sculpted, Sano Toshihide-designed Shiratori Amane PVC from G.J? eroge Anata no Shiranai Kangofu. She’s still being developed by Questioners, as our past reporting indicated; however it seems they needed the assistance of a more established company to actually bring the figure to market. Cafe Leo’s product entry gives her a release date of June 2008 at 1/6 scale (21 cm tall) and a retail price of 9,800 yen; the entry also states that the figure will be on display at the Cafe Leo Wonder Festival booth, so we’ll finally get some concrete angles on her beyond the tantalizing ones provided in official photography thus far. [ERO] Figure News: Daiki Kougyou’s Sanae (black ver.) up for preorder

Online figure shops around the ‘net began preorders this evening for a black version of Daiki Kougyou’s Sanae PVC, based on the Vispo sculpt from Kotoyoshi Yumisuke‘s eromanga Shokunyuu 2. This version differs from the original in several ways, primarily in terms of coloration; I don’t think it’s quite as attractive as the Holstein pattern of the original, but she may appeal to some with the more bondage-themed look. According to Amiami’s listing she’s scheduled for release in May at 15,750 yen retail. Image gallery below:

Figure Review: Toy’sworks’ Suzumiya Haruhi (gakuran ver.) PVC from Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuuutsu

Whenever I see the word “Vispo” a primordial reflex action is triggered somewhere in my brain stem that makes me hit the “BUY” button if one is within reach, and this Haruhi was no exception. Back when she was announced in May there was much rejoicing (along with a schooling in the meaning of the term “gakuran”), but when she was finally trundled out to an expectant audience earlier this month the excitement was somewhat abated. Would you trust Toy’sworks with your Vispo? After seeing this kit I’m not so sure…

[ERO] Figure News: Vispo sculpted, Sano Toshihide designed Shiratori Amane PVC up at Questioners’ website, sample on display (kind of)

The Vispo-sculpted, Sano Toshihide-designed Shiratori Amane PVC from G.J?’s [ERO] Anata no Shiranai Kangofu that we’ve been tracking since she was first announced in September now has an official online presence at rookie figure brand Questioners‘ website! Word is in from ASCII as well yesterday that a sample of the kit is currently on display in Akihabara… though it’s actually just the chair, the bastards (an intrepid 2channer found the original, too). The highest resolution image of the kit that’s currently available can be found here, and according to the Questioners website she’s scheduled for PVC release in the spring of 2008. (no more)

[ERO] Figure Review: Daiki Kougyou’s Sanae PVC from Shokunyuu 2

The hype for Daiki Kougyou’s Sanae PVC grew steadily from the moment she was announced in June, through her listing in Hobby Japan in July, the scooping of her malleable chest in August, Amiami’s image update in September, her release delay to November in October, and finally the [ERO] revelation of her anatomical detail when she went on sale last week. After putting her through her paces today I can say with confidence that this is the best kit Daiki has ever produced, and is indeed a milestone in the development of PVC-based erotica. An excessive amount of pictorial evidence follows. Update: Sanae is currently available at Play Asia once again, though who knows for how long.

[ERO] Figure News: Sano Toshihide designed, Vispo sculpted Shiratori Amane PVC update

Last month we reported on the plans for the PVC production of a figure based on Shiratori Amane, the heroine of G.J?’s recently released Sano Toshihide illustrated [ERO] Anata no Shiranai Kangofu. Today we’re happy to report that work is proceeding, with a color sample of the kit now on display at Vispo‘s home page (and archived here lest it subsequently be removed). The figure will be produced by a newcomer to the PVC arena, a company called Questioners; they describe the item on their product page, but there is currently no further information beyond the plan to release it in “winter 2007”. We’ll be keeping a close eye out for further information regarding this figure and the new Questioners brand. Kit picture below:
