Organic’s Kawazoe Tamaki preorder open

A preorder listing went up this afternoon at Amiami for Organic’s Kawazoe Tamaki PVC figure from Bamboo Blade. We got our first look at her back at Wonder Festival, but with little fanfare leading up to the listing this is the first decent look we have at her color prototype. The sculpt is from Hatsuda Kouichirou, and she’s scheduled for release on August 25th at 1/8 scale (17 cm tall) and 7,140 yen retail. Figure images below:

Bamboo Blade Tamaki, Kanokon Chizuru hug pillows

Via the Dakimakura Integrated Research Center: Listings went online yesterday for a pair of dakimakura hug pillowcases from two recently popular anime franchises. First is the Brain Police announcement of a Kawazoe Tamaki pillowcase from Bamboo Blade. The case is 150 cm x 55 cm in dimensions and features two original illustrations (kendo uniform and school swimsuit) created for the cover. It’s expected to retail in mid-July at 9,240 yen (case only), with preorders opening in early May. The second dakimakura announcement is of Kanokon‘s Minamoto Chizuru, with a case coming from Chara High. It’s expected for release on June 25th at 10,500 yen (case only; preorder by June 5th for 1,000 yen off) and is available for preorder now. Pillowcase dimensions are 150 x 50 cm, featuring two original illustrations of Chizuru in various states of undress. Neither item is expected to appear via standard international retail channels, so it seems that proxy buying may be the only option for those outside Japan. Pillow images below:

Kotobukiya Nono, Tama-chan, Kudryavka, Leon preorders open

Kotobukiya unleashed four new finished PVC figures for preorder at their official online shop today, a few of which I’m betting will be big sellers when they see release in August (all four are August releases). First up is Nekomiya Nono (cat ears school swimsuit thigh-highs ver.) from Yotsunoha, coming at 1/6 scale (24 cm tall) with a sculpt from Abe Masato and a retail price of 6,090 yen. Next is Kawazoe Tamaki from Bamboo Blade, clocking in at 1/8 scale (18 cm tall) and 5,775 yen, with a sculpt from Kiohara Hidemasa. Third is Noumi Kudryavka of Little Busters!, 1/8 scale (17.5 cm tall) and 5,775 yen with a sculpt from Nisshii, and finally we have the odd man out with Leon Magnus from Tales of Destiny, coming at 1/10 scale (16 cm tall) and 4,410 yen with a sculpt from Tatsumaki.
