Solid Theater’s String Swimsuit Girl preorder open

Amiami’s evening update today included a preorder listing for Solid Theater’s Himomizugi no Onna no Ko (string swimsuit girl) PVC figure. This is a figure we’ve been following closely, both for her obviously appealing attributes as well as her status as the first product unveiled by the Solid Theater brand since their acquisition by Movic; with her now available for preorder it seems the logistical transition went smoothly enough. As earlier reported the kit is based on the September 2006 cover illustration by Miwa Miwa of eromanga serial magazine Monthly Comic Papipo (月刊COMICパピポ), which has since ceased publication. The sculpt was produced by Shinano, who other than a few capsule figures and Solid Theater’s likewise Papipo-inspired Maid no Onna no Ko has been active primarily on the garage kit side ([ERO] Karen from Ai no Chikara and Sumire from Jokei Kazoku ~Inbou~ with circle Gankura). The figure is scheduled for release in August at 1/8 scale (20 cm tall) and 7,140 yen retail, with dress and front pieces castoffable. Full gallery below:

Clayz clothes-changing Tamaki, Manaka preorders open

Thanks to Diebi Manabu for pointing this out in comments to a recent post: a pair of To Heart 2 figures that we originally scooped last November have finally been made available for preorder. Both are prepainted, assembled PVC figures from maker Clayz and feature sculpts from Miyakawa Takeshi (T’s System). Kousaka Tamaki (swimsuit ver.) is 1/6 scale (height unspecified), and is scheduled for release in July at 6,090 yen. Komaki Manaka is scheduled for release in August, likewise at 1/6 scale (height unspecified) and 6,090 yen retail. No word is yet available on the third Tama-nee sculpt announced last November, but we’ll keep an eye out for the preorder listing and post when it appears. Images below:

Solid Theater’s String Swimsuit Girl on parade

GA Graphic brings the scoop this evening with a full gallery of Solid Theater’s Himomizugi no Onna no Ko (“string swimsuit girl”), the first new release announced from the brand following its acquisition by Movic. As promised the original Solid Theater brand name is retained, though distribution is now credited to the parent company. This may be the first time full details on the PVC release have been compiled in one place: the kit is based on the September 2006 cover illustration by Miwa Miwa of eromanga serial magazine Monthly Comic Papipo (月刊COMICパピポ), which has since ceased publication. The sculpt was produced by Shinano, who other than a few capsule figures has been active primarily on the garage kit side ([ERO] Karen from Ai no Chikara and Sumire from Jokei Kazoku ~Inbou~ with circle Gankura). The figure is scheduled for release in August at 1/8 scale (20 cm tall) and 7,140 yen retail. We’ll be on the lookout for preorder listings, which should be appearing shortly. (no more)

Kotobukiya Nono, Tama-chan, Kudryavka, Leon preorders open

Kotobukiya unleashed four new finished PVC figures for preorder at their official online shop today, a few of which I’m betting will be big sellers when they see release in August (all four are August releases). First up is Nekomiya Nono (cat ears school swimsuit thigh-highs ver.) from Yotsunoha, coming at 1/6 scale (24 cm tall) with a sculpt from Abe Masato and a retail price of 6,090 yen. Next is Kawazoe Tamaki from Bamboo Blade, clocking in at 1/8 scale (18 cm tall) and 5,775 yen, with a sculpt from Kiohara Hidemasa. Third is Noumi Kudryavka of Little Busters!, 1/8 scale (17.5 cm tall) and 5,775 yen with a sculpt from Nisshii, and finally we have the odd man out with Leon Magnus from Tales of Destiny, coming at 1/10 scale (16 cm tall) and 4,410 yen with a sculpt from Tatsumaki. Taki Corp. announces Kanu Unchou (swimsuit ver.)

Online shop Web Omocha posted a listing this evening for yet another PVC incarnation of Ikkitousen‘s Kanu Unchou, a castoffable swimsuit version from infamous maker Taki Corporation. This new figure is a measurable departure from earlier entries in their Kanu lineup, firstly due to the price – a relatively modest 7,140 yen retail. Unlike previous versions she only comes with a single costume and is very slightly smaller roughly the same size at 25 cm tall (no scale specified Amiami’s listing pegs her at 1/7 scale); from the images available it seems the face sculpt may be a significant improvement over former attempts as well, though no sculptor information is specified. She’s set for release in June, so we’ll see then if this is the turning of a new leaf for Taki or merely another page in their sordid history of unfortunate figure creations. Images below:

Griffon presents Maaryan-senpai (school swimsuit uniform ver.)

Figure maker Griffon updated yesterday evening with a listing for a new PVC incarnation of Maaryan-senpai from Aquaplus bishoujo game franchise To Heart 2. This “sukumizu seifuku” version is scheduled to retail in August at 6,720 yen, 1/7 scale (23 cm tall) with a sculpt from Morikawa Hiroaki and comes with (presumably) detachable skirt and a discarded pair of panties. Preorders are currently open at Griffon’s site and will be elsewhere soon as well, presumably. Kit images below:

Organic presents Umisho Amuro, Mirei PVCs

Amiami’s evening update tonight included a pair of new PVCs from figure maker Organic which were a bit of a surprise: Ninagawa Amuro and Mirei Shizuoka from Kenkou Zenra-kei Suieibu Umishou (aka. Umisho). Both are castoffable, 1/8 scale, and scheduled to retail at 7,140 yen, with Amuro coming in June and Mirei coming in July; sculptor and precise height information are currently unknown. Images of the pair are reproduced below:

New Line’s Corticarte Apa Lagranges (swimsuit ver.) preorder open

Amiami’s evening update today included a new listing for a Corticarte Apa Lagranges (swimsuit ver.) PVC from Shinkyoku Soukai Polyphonica. She’ll be coming from New Line in late July, at 1/7 scale (22 cm tall) and complete with base and inflatable ring; retail price is 8,190 yen, and her sculpt is from Goemon, who is also responsible for New Line’s earlier announced Tama-nee (lingerie ver.).
