Figure Review: New Line’s Kousaka Tamaki (private ver.)

I had never purchased a New Line figure before this one was announced (in the past they were primarily known for expensive cold casts whose looks never quite fit my budget), but when the fishnet version of their “private” Kousaka Tamaki was announced my willpower crumbled and I placed the preorder. Preview shots hinted at a figure that positively exuded erotic pheromones, and it was with high hopes that I embarked upon this review following the figure’s release last month. While ultimately the finished product isn’t quite as impressive as the prototype shots I’m still quite happy with the end result, explored in detail below:

New Line’s Corticarte Apa Lagranges (swimsuit ver.) preorder open

Amiami’s evening update today included a new listing for a Corticarte Apa Lagranges (swimsuit ver.) PVC from Shinkyoku Soukai Polyphonica. She’ll be coming from New Line in late July, at 1/7 scale (22 cm tall) and complete with base and inflatable ring; retail price is 8,190 yen, and her sculpt is from Goemon, who is also responsible for New Line’s earlier announced Tama-nee (lingerie ver.). Figure News: January 25th news roundup

A comprehensive list of Wonder Festival 2008 Winter event-limited items, speculation regarding the castoffability of New Line’s Kousaka Tamaki (private version), Zero no Tsukaima Louise and Wolf and Spices Horo from Resinya, and a hot Kusanagi Motoko action figure from Medicom Toy.

[ERO] Figure News: To Heart 2 XRATED Kousaka Tamaki (private ver.) coming in PVC from New Line

A surprise bit of sexy figure news this evening from maker New Line, as Getchu just put a listing up for an incredibly erotic PVC rendition of To Heart 2‘s Kousaka Tamaki. She’s available in both a regular grey stocking version and an Irisawa limited fishnet version, both scheduled for release on April 30th of next year at 26 cm tall (1/6 scale?) and 8,190 yen retail. The sculpt is from New Line regular Goemon, and unless I’m much mistaken this is the first general release PVC from a maker formerly known only for their cold casts; we’ll be watching development with considerable interest as this is the first Tama-nee that has caught my attention since Daiki’s offering earlier this year. Figure News Roundup: Saber Alter, Shuraki, Win-chan, Manaka cold cast

A few updates on figures we’ve been covering over the past few days: Solid Theater’s Saber Alter is now up at the maker’s official site, up at Goodsmile, and up for preorder. More interesting is the news that she is 1/8 scale, but she was resculpted based on a 1/10 kit (see the lowest picture in that entry). She retails in March at 6,800 yen (ouch) with a sculpt from Toda Satoshi. In Shuraki news, Vol. 2 Riu Meifeng shipped from Goodsmile yesterday and is shipping from wholesalers today. Vol. 4 Needa was also updated today with a first look at the interior of the artbook that accompanies her – very tasty stuff. Finally, the new Win-chan we mentioned earlier today is now up for preorder in both regular and limited edition colors, and New Line has a preorder listing up for a Komaki Manaka cold cast (March release, 1/6 scale, 24 cm tall, 14,490 yen retail) that justice demands see a PVC release at half the price. Justice! (no more)
