Revoltech Fraeulein Haruhi to come with Wii game (updated)

A Suzumiya Haruhi franchise Nintendo Wii game was announced to be in the works on the official Haruhi anime site as early as last year, but only a couple of days ago were the details confirmed – it’s a “story+dance sim”, scheduled for release within the year. Amazon already has a page up soliciting email addresses if you want to find out precisely when preorders open, as it seems this will be a hot item – not in the least because the special edition will be accompanied by a Revoltech Fraeulein Haruhi action figure, as reported today by official Revoltech Express blog. Unlike Kaiyodo’s earlier collaboration with Kadokawa in the release of Fate/stay night Realta Nua for the PS2, this Revoltech Haruhi will apparently be not just a bust but a full Fraeulein series figure. We’ll keep an eye out for further news on the project, especially any word of an individual release apart from the game.

Update: Famitsu has posted further details on the Haruhi Wii game, including images of the Fraeulein Revoltech Haruhi figure which are reproduced below:

Figure News: Figma Saber, Haruhi preorders unleashed

Max Factory’s Figma action figure line was officially augmented yesterday with the unsealing for preorder of Haruhi (Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuuutsu) and Saber (Fate/stay night). We reported on the details of the release back on the 19th, but now both figures are officially available for preorder around the internets and have been flung inexorably along the trajectory that will lead to their April release – no doubt a dramatic one, if the Nagato Figma was any indication. To recap, April is the ETA for both figures and Haruhi is up for 2,500 yen, with Saber at 2,800. High-res images below:

Figure News: Max Factory does “Culture Festival” Mikuru, Haruhi and Saber Figmas

Max Factory unveiled the next installment in their Haruhi figure series today in a post on the official Goodsmile Blog! It’s Mikuru in her waitress costume from the school festival episode, and comes following the similarly appointed Tsuruya-san. Details such as price and release date are still unknown, but we know the sculpt is from Max Factory veteran Chieri, and that like Tsuruya, Mikuru will come with cat ears and a tail as option parts. She’ll be on display at Wonder Festival so we’ll be sure to pick up further information on Sunday. In other Max news, the official Figma site and blog were updated with information on the next two action figures in the lineup: Suzumiya Haruhi (school uniform ver.) and Saber from Fate/stay night. Both are scheduled for release in April, with Haruhi at 2,500 yen and Saber at 2,800 yen; production is supervised as usual by Masaki Apsy (Asai Masaki). Full product descriptions are expected to appear online on February 21st. Images of the Figma kits below:

Figure News: Alter’s Kanu (black ver.) preorder open, Kemeko Nendoroid unmasked, Figma TV commercial

A few random figure news items from yesterday, starting with this: the black uniform version of Alter’s Kanu Unchou PVC that we scooped in December is now available for preorder. It’s an exclusive Hobby Japan online shop release, so if you’re looking to score a copy proxying may be the only way to go. Next, the official Goodsmile blog updated with an informal profile of the Kemeko Nendoroid from Kemeko Deluxe that we scooped in the figure fallout from C73. It turns out the freakish chibi Kemeko is actually a “human”-shaped robot in which Em-Em rides; stay tuned for further updates on this and the companion 1/8-scale Em-Em figure from Goodsmile soon. Finally, Max Factory action figure brand Figma aired a commercial last night (viewable here) along with the first episode of ARIA The ORIGINATION that featured their Nagato Yuki in a brief stop-motion animation version of the Haruhi dance. Figure News: Griffon’s gothic lolita Haruhi, Yamato’s Doubutsu Nee-chan Inu Anne-Rose unveiled

Two pieces of news on the PVC front this evening: first is word from Griffon that their gothic lolita Haruhi kit from Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuuutsu is scheduled for release in PVC. She’s 1/7 scale with a retail price of 7,500 yen, and currently without a release date specified; currently only Griffon has her available for preorder on their site but presumably other retailers will carry her as well. Sculpt from Yamamoto Masahiro. Next, word is in from Yamato that the alternate color version of Aruma we’ve seen lurking around for a month or so is dubbed Anne-Rose, and will see release in April of next year at 7.140 yen and 30 cm tall (1/6 scale?). Sculpt is from Tandem Twin, and preorders are expected shortly. (no more)

Figure News: color changing “Metamo” Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuuutsu Haruhi 1.5 and Nagato PVCs up for preorder

Word came in last night via Amiami that Bandai will be releasing a pair of new “Metamo figures” from Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuuutsu, an alternate color version of their earlier released Haruhi kit as well as a new sundress catgirl Nagato Yuki. The Metamo gimmick is that the figures change color based on the ambient temperature, the new Haruhi going from red to black and Nagato from white to black. Both are 1/8 scale (~20 cm tall) and scheduled for release in February of ’08 at 3,980 yen retail. The Nagato is pretty cute, but I’m not sure if the simplified paint job required for the color change gimmick to work is worth it… (no more)
