Cospa does Tifania dakimakura, Kanokon towels

Following the announcement last week of a similar item from Chara Hai, preorders went online yesterday for a Tifania hug pillow from Cospa and Zero no Tsukaima 3. Like other pillowcases in Cospa’s lineup this one retails at 9,450 yen and 150 x 50 cm in size, double-sided with original illustrations on both sides. Release is expected in late August.

Listings also went up for reissues of a few other Zero no Tsukaima items from Cospa, as well as a new lineup of Kanokon goods including a Chizuru towel (bikini ver.), Nozomu towel (white shirt/bloomers ver.), and Chizuru cushion cover. All three are due out in late July. Images below:

Bandai Metamo To Love-Ru Lala, Haruna preorders open

We scooped them ten days ago, and now here they are, looking not nearly as freaky as in their original introductory shots on the anime homepage: To Love-Ru‘s Lala Satalin Deviluke and Sairenji Haruna, in temperature-based color changing “Metamo” incarnations from Bandai. Both are scheduled for release in late August at 1/8 scale (22 cm tall) and 5,040 yen retail (sculptor uncredited). Lala’s bikini changes from white to black, while Haruna’s changes from white to blue. Images below:

Taki Corp. announces Kanu Unchou (swimsuit ver.)

Online shop Web Omocha posted a listing this evening for yet another PVC incarnation of Ikkitousen‘s Kanu Unchou, a castoffable swimsuit version from infamous maker Taki Corporation. This new figure is a measurable departure from earlier entries in their Kanu lineup, firstly due to the price – a relatively modest 7,140 yen retail. Unlike previous versions she only comes with a single costume and is very slightly smaller roughly the same size at 25 cm tall (no scale specified Amiami’s listing pegs her at 1/7 scale); from the images available it seems the face sculpt may be a significant improvement over former attempts as well, though no sculptor information is specified. She’s set for release in June, so we’ll see then if this is the turning of a new leaf for Taki or merely another page in their sordid history of unfortunate figure creations. Images below:

To Love-Ru Metamo Lala and Haruna announced

The official site for currently airing Shounen Jump-serialized manga and romantic comedy anime To Love-Ru updated its figure section yesterday with the news that Bandai will be producing a pair of “Metamo Figures” based on the franchise’s two main heroines, Lala Satalin Deviluke and Sairenji Haruna. Both are depicted wearing black bikinis that change color to white when exposed to temperatures in excess of 30 degrees Celsius, and revert to black when lowered below 16 degrees (Bandai’s “Metamo” gimmick at work). Both are scheduled for release in August at 5,040 yen and 1/8 scale. Sculptor information is currently unknown; prototype images from the site can be found below:

Toranoana launches new figure brand TC2F, features Taka Tony

The official site of otaku goods retailer and producer Toranoana was updated this evening to announce the creation of a new figure brand dubbed TC2F (“Toranoana & Creators Collaboration Figure”). The first item in the brand’s lineup will be a collaboration with T2 ART WORKS (Taka Tony): the “bikini maid girl” figure we first reported on at the beginning of this month. The official TC2F page reports that the figure is a collaboration between Tony and sculptor Maeda Tomoki of Works Sapporo, is 1/8 scale, does not appear castoffable (other than two pairs of glasses as option parts), and is scheduled to retail in late May at the astoundingly low price of 4,515 yen (with telephone card) or 3,990 yen (figure alone).

The bad news is that the TC2F series is apparently “100% Toranoana Store Limited”, meaning a trip to the proxy service is in order for fans outside Japan. At that price I think many may bite the bullet and pay the extra finder’s fee…

Goodsmile presents To Love-Ru Lala, Kiminozo Mitsuki

Figure maker Goodsmile updated their official site over the noon hour today with listings for two new PVC figures that we initially reported on back at Wonder Festival. The first is Lala Satalin Deviluke from To Love-Ru, who will be coming in August at 1/8 scale (22 cm tall) with a sculpt from Tokunaga Hironori and a retail price of 5,500 yen. She comes with her wand and an extra hand part as exchangeable options. The second new Goodsmile announcement is Hayase Mitsuki from Kimi ga Nozomu Eien, coming in a very nice bikini version in September. She’s also set for release at 1/8 scale (17 cm tall) and 5,500 yen, with a sculpt from Chigusa Ryo (homepage). With these listings up at Goodsmile preorders should follow very shortly. New Line’s Corticarte Apa Lagranges (swimsuit ver.) preorder open

Amiami’s evening update today included a new listing for a Corticarte Apa Lagranges (swimsuit ver.) PVC from Shinkyoku Soukai Polyphonica. She’ll be coming from New Line in late July, at 1/7 scale (22 cm tall) and complete with base and inflatable ring; retail price is 8,190 yen, and her sculpt is from Goemon, who is also responsible for New Line’s earlier announced Tama-nee (lingerie ver.). Orchid’s bikini Kanu PVC announced

Following last week’s announcement of a PVC version of the resin Kazami Mizuho debuted by Orchid Seed at Wonder Festival, it comes as no surprise that the similarly presented Kanu Unchou (bikini ver.) from Ikkitousen would be soon to follow. GA Graphic brings the news today that the Ishiyama Satoshi sculpted Kanu will be released in pre-painted PVC form in July at 6,800 yen retail and 1/6 scale (17 cm tall). According to GA Graphic’s scoop a race queen costume will be included along with the swimsuit, virtually guaranteeing her castoffability – we’ll be watching for further news and the official opening of preorders, bound to come soon. (no more)

Figure News: Orchid Seed’s Tsuzuki Shiori (bikini ver.) PVC from Witchblade up for preorder

I’ll be damned if the news doesn’t just keep coming tonight… Figure maker Orchid Seed has just put up an official page and preorder listing for their prodigiously endowed Tsuzuki Shiori (bikini ver.) PVC figure from Witchblade that we’ve been tracking here for the past few weeks! As previously reported she is scheduled for release in March of next year at 6,800 yen, 1/7 scale (revised downward from 1/6), and 23 cm tall. The sculpt is from Orchid regular Ishiyama Satoshi, and based on the visual information thus far her castoff status is still in limbo; here’s hoping. She does come with a replaceable mutant arm, which is kinda cool… Orchid’s gallery reproduced below:
