Comments on: Kotobukiya Kannagi Series Vol. 3: Dog Girl Tsugumi

As far as I know, which extends just past volume 2, the animal cosplay series Kotobukiya is releasing doesn’t have roots in any specific chapter. It IS, however, based on the linked piece of original artwork by Eri Takenashi which may have appeared as a pin-up in Comic REX or in later Kannagi tankobon.

I commend Kotobukiya for, firstly, releasing 3 PVCs from the same series and secondly for releasing 3 Kannagi PVCs. Some series are lucky enough to get 1 but they obviously are aware of Kannagi’s selling power. Outside of that, the figure themselves are sculpt exactly to the original art (again, linked below). I have all 3 pre-ordered even though I’ve only read the manga (and archived the anime).

Tsugumi is actually my fav character but I don’t dig this at all. Casual clothes ver. figure please! Anyone!

Don’t much like the style or the face. Is this dog girl a reference to an event in the manga? It was not in the anime.

I’d rather have normal Tsugumi. This figure is scary bad.

I should get this. I’m usually not to into the dog-like stuff, but this is definitely an exception. And considering the quality of most other Kannagi figures I’ve seen thus far, I’m not holding my breath on a better Tsugumi being released.
