Tomorrow (later today, as I’m posting this early Sunday morning) is Wonder Festival 2008 Summer, and I regret to say that for the first time in the past few years I won’t be in attendance. My goal of resuming regular updates has obviously not come to fruition as hoped, so to keep people from worrying that I’ve dropped off the face of the planet I’ll state that for the time being there will not be regular updates here at HD until I can be sure I have the drive to resume them in a disciplined way. I’d like to apologize to everyone who’s visited in the expectation of new content, and I assure you that the site is not abandoned, and I plan to continue updating in the future - just when and how I’m not quite sure at this point, but the updates will come.
If you’ve left a comment or sent an email to me I’ll be sorting through those as well, when I’m able - otherwise, I can be reached most reliably on IRC during the week at #naisho on irc.synirc.net, if you’d like to chat.
I’ll be keeping an eye on Wonder Festival news and try bring up some of the most relevant material here, over the next week, but otherwise it looks like I’ll be sitting this one out.

You’ll be missed. Your blog has been majorly influential on me and my own toy blog. I hope things go well for you and we do hear from you from time to time!
Man that’s a real blow. Your reports were always the most useful, esp regarding the resin kits.
Will you be linking any of the other WF resin kit coverage sites?
Just glad to know you’re ok, which I think was more of a concern for the regulars here than the lack of updates. Too bad about WF but I look forward to any posts from you in the future.

Well, it’s your call. If the site’s too much to handle, then it’s never too late to back down. If it’s just an issue of not caring anymore, then at least you let us know.
On the plus side, I don’t really care too much for figures anymore anyway, so I’m not missing out on too much! :P
Besides, there’s WAY too much to catch up on since the fall of the HD, so don’t even think of trying to get back onto that wagon! ^^ Start afresh if you feel the need to. Anything we can do to help, you know..

My fav. for this WF would be Fate Sonic Form w/ Riot Zanber by Alter, must have that. :)
There’s always great figures at every WonderFest. That’s why it’s always a full house at every edition of the show.
For me, my favs are the Yamato’s new line of fantasy women drawings by famous western artists brought to 3d form.
Also, the nendoroid Yoko and the painted sample of Toranoana Donne Anonime.
Unfortunately, I think the Donne Anonime will only be available in Japan and not available to overseas customers via international shopping. Toranoana has so far not sold anything to overseas customers.
Looks like Alter has a full range of wonderful figures for release for the rest of the year and next year.

Real DISSAPPOINTED! This WAS my FAVE site. What a shame.
Yeah, as melodramatic as it sounds, it really isn’t easy for me either. I used to check this site at least twice a day automatically and I still haven’t been able to break that habit. I’ve been telling various people I associate with who play World of Warcraft that I now have a reason to hate that game since it now impacts me directly, though, of course I’m sure that’s not the only reason for the missing motivation.
You know, I’ve suggested it before, but the big problem is that there doesn’t seem to be other sites like Shingo’s around to fall back on unless you count visiting moeyo.com or akibahobby.net which of course are only in Japanese.
I’m glad I’m not the only one terribly disappointed to hear this. I checked this site daily for the past year, and it was by far the best source for English language figure news.
Here’s hoping for a return.
