First things first – if you haven’t done so yet, I highly recommend checking out Zepy (followup) and EvoSpace‘s coverage of the horrific events that took place in Akihabara on Sunday, June 8th. My heart is with the families of the victims. I have a feeling we haven’t seen all the fallout from this yet, so we’ll watch for further news as the story develops.

Today’s thumbnail image was brought to you by Solid Theater’s Wanfesu-limited Saber Alter, who I must say looks miles better to me than the original:

That new Saber is really funny, just watch me laughing HA,HA,HA…
No,not funny at all.Why didn’t they modified the weird face on the previous model instead of releasing a limited version?
That’s not a polite thing to do if you ask my opinion.
“Image gallery of “soft feet” Chouun up at Amiami”
??? I only see Ryuubi from that link.
The limited Saber does look better than the original. I would soil myself every time I look at the originals’ face.
What ever happened to Solid Theater’s Dark Sakura? They showed the finished color model already but still no release date?
My goodness that limited Saber is beyond great. Why oh why didnt solid theater use that face for the normal version.
The limited Saber Alter has a more pleasant face and better hair-style compared to that of the regular version…And btw, on “the soft feet Chouun”, isn’t that supposed to be “Ryubi Gentokou” of Ikkitousen?
>>Kev, L.C
Thanks for the fix on the Ryuubi, synapse misfire last night… post edited to suit.
No news on Dark Sakura…. We haven’t had word of her since Wonder Festival. Perhaps due to the merger with Movic?
That’s Dark Saber and I thought she wasn’t suppose to look pretty-
But I am liking the limited version- will that be hard to find or will it be just like a regular release?
>>Work_Ethic
It’s limited to release at Wonder Festival this summer, so unless you’ll be there yourself or have a proxy buyer at the event you’ll probably have to hit her up on Yahoo Auctions. :/
Thanx Shingo…
BOO!!!!
BOOOOO!!!!!!
Oh well, this will save me some monies…..unless I see her on Yahoo Japan…then all bets are off.
LOL.
Siiiigh. If there was a mention of a limited period web order for the limited Saber Alter I would have ponied up the cash for a proxy, she looks great with the new face. Onsite sale only at WF = resale prices of death ;w;
Agreed Byaku,
If Saber had THIS face with the original release- I would have dropped the cash fast for it. It is gorgeous looking.
Son of a bitch. I already bought the regular Saber Alter. While I can definitely afford paying for another, even at stupidly high prices, I don’t know if I’m willing to pay for another head sculpt of something I already own.
Yeahh I wanna that saber ;D, where can I get it. . . i don’t have a proxy buyer and I can’t go to Japan . . . . T_T
D_D looking for one ..
Event/Website specified/Country limited items mean I can save up some very good cash to be spent on other more easily available items sold by better consumer friendly companies.
Anyway, to paraphrase what geth said, “While I can definitely afford paying for another, even at stupidly high prices, I don’t know if I’m willing to pay for another head sculpt of something I already own.”

[…] from Heisei Democracy reports that there will be another version of Saber Alfter – Solid Theater Wanfesu-limited edition […]
Seems like the Solid Theater site is taking orders for that Saber. Can anyone confirm this or is this just for reserving for WF or something.

Hopefully I’ll be able to get my hands on one because I originally turned down the first version because of face issues.
I used Babel Fish to translate text on the page

Unfortunately, while it is a preorder, the goods must still be picked up at the event. See red text and the grey text at the top for information.
