Zero no Tsukaima Tifania dakimakura announced

Character goods maker Chara Hai updated this evening with listings for a Tifania hug pillowcase from Zero no Tsukaima (officially from this summer’s third season, Princesse no Rondo). The case is scheduled for release on August 25th with preorders open until August 4th, and is double-sided with two pieces of original art and standard dakimakura dimensions of 150×50 cm. Like previous Chara Hai releases Tifania is available in two choices of cloth: smooth knit (9,500 yen retail) and two-way tricot (10,500 yen retail). Explanations of the differences in pillow fabric can be found here. Tifania pillow images below:

Artbook Review: Yamashita Shunya’s Wild Flower

Last month we were delighted to bring the announcement of Wild Flower, the second artbook collection of Yamashita Shunya’s illustration works (following Sweet Dreams, released almost three years ago). It arrived on store shelves today, and we managed to track down a copy before it disappeared and bring you this look inside. Needless to say, this is something Shunya fans aren’t going to want to miss:

Griffon does PVC plainclothes Ryofu, in red

Amiami’s evening update yesterday included a listing from Griffon’s ero R-Line brand for a new Ryofu Housen (plainclothes battle version) PVC from Ikkitousen. The kit was originally released in October of 2005 as an unpainted, unassembled resin figure (Amiami listing), but is being revived here in a new “red version” just in time for Ryofu’s resurrection in the new Great Guardians season of the Ikkitousen anime. She’s scheduled for release in late August at 1/6 scale (23 cm tall) and 6,825 yen retail, with a sculpt from Ikeda Ryouichi, and comes with a replaceable bare chest “damage version” part. Ikkitousen, Lucky Star itasha models announced

The moe car decal boom known as itasha (痛車 = “hurt car”, pun on “Italian car”) has been sweeping Japan for the past few years, and thanks to Aoshima recently began to appear in model form as well (Haruhi and To Heart 2 featured on their first two releases). Aoshima augmented their lineup yesterday with the announcement of a Lucky Star itasha based on the Mazda Roadster 1800RS convertible, which will retail in late June at 3,570 yen retail and 1/24 scale.

A new entry into the itasha model maker’s arena appeared yesterday as well, with Aizu Project’s announcement of a 1/43 scale Mini Car Toyota Hi-Ace (Ikkitousen version). Based on the popular Hi-Ace 200 van from Toyota, it’s scheduled to retail in September at 3,990 yen retail. Unlike Aoshima’s offering which is an unpainted/unassembled plastic model, this Aizu van is a die-cast model and presumably can be displayed out of the box. Images of both are below:

Chara-Ani’s Ryuubi Gentoku features “soft toes”

In our most recent Mainichi update we mentioned a new figure in the works from Chara-Ani and Alter of Ikkitousen‘s Ryuubi Gentoku, and Milestone updated last night with a product listing that provides pictures and further information. She’s scheduled for release in late September at 7,140 yen and 1/8 scale (8 cm high, 17 cm long), comes with a castoffable “Y-shirt”, and in a first in the PVC figure world her feet are made from the soft, pliant material that has graced the chests of other figures in the recent past. The sculpt is from RINRIN of Dragon Craft. The currently available images are reproduced below:
