A late addendum to Amiami’s noon update today brings two new figure preorders from maker Organic, one which we were anticipating and one which is a complete surprise. Taking the second one first, Amiami’s listing marks the debut of the industry’s first Garnet MacLaine PVC figure from Dragonaut -The Resonance-, and in fact the first figure from the series to be announced. She’s scheduled for release in August at an unspecified scale (16 cm tall) and 6,090 yen retail, with a sculpt from Saitou Heel (Love Love Garden) and cooperation from Beagle. Production is officially credited to GDH, but strong evidence points to Organic as the actual producer.
The second new Organic preorder is the Tezuka Osamu / Yoshizaki Mine collaboration Fushigi na Merumo PVC set from Marvelous Melmo that we reported on a month ago. It’s scheduled for release in September at 7,350 yen, with adult Melmo standing at 15.5 cm tall and child Melmo standing at 10 cm. The sculpt is from Kobayashi Makoto (longlong-lab). Images of both figures below:

I’m glad to see Dragonaut finally represented in PVC, especially Garnet, but I really hope this isn’t the last we see of her… this early production model isn’t very encouraging. Melmo seems a bit expensive for the size, too; not sure what I’m going to do for preorders at this point…

Wow at first I was excited for a Dragonaut fig but when I clicked the pictures my excitement quickly turned into disappointment. The face is pretty bad and the hair isn’t too appealing either. Body and pose look decent but could use some work so if they make necessary adjustments then I will definitely get.
Man I was super pumped when I saw the title but the actual pics let me down. Garnet deserves better. Heres hoping to more dragonaut figures in the future.
I agree completely. I saw the title and thought “Garnet! Finally!!”, but overall it looks very disappointing. Hopefully a better figure will be made someday.
Same for me when I saw the title, and the pics are not that bad, hope they finish with a nice fig !
And yes, hope to see more Dragonauts figures too ^^
Same for me here. Saw the title and went DRAGONAUT FIGURE!!! BOOBIES!!!
Then I saw the actual prototype…body’s good (not great since there’s no cast-off), but the face is off. And at that size (16cm), I think it’s about 1/7 scale then. small…
Disappointed. 8(
The figure is just like the anime disappointing
What the hell happened to Saito Heel? His Max Factory Shining Tears sculpts are wonderful, but the face on Garnet is horrid.
I’m going to remain optimistic on Garnet’s figure, hoping that proto is just a rush job.
I’m shocked we haven’t seen anything produced sooner than this. I know Dragonaut wasn’t super popular, but the fan service was delicious!
Face looks like something out of One Piece.

I agree, fanservice really owned in that anime!
And I also hope that her face gets fixed by the time of release, it would be a shame otherwise.
But, I’m sure that more figures from dragonaut will see the light (already waiting for a “Toa” one).
Hmm. Garnet could be better done. Her pose is just not dynamic enough. We should be seeing some boob movement from her drawing action. AS it is, it doesn’t sufficiently stand out in a BUY ME! sort of sense.
