HD reader Kent posted a comment to our Shuraki Rize review this evening with a link to an image at Akiba Hobby that confirms what we’d suspected: The next entry in the Shuraki figure multimedia series will be Monica Dread Olivier, the White Raven companion of Nida and Rize. No release date or other information is listed, though it’s noteworthy to see that according to the promotional poster in the Akiba Hobby photo the character designer may have changed (the illustration is from Jun・K/Sumi Keiichi, not Igarashi Aki as per the original). We’ll keep an eye out for further details (and I’ll try to remember what event that photo is from…). (no more)
Coool- can’t wait to see what she looks like!
This is good news. I was just thinking when would news of the next set of Shuraki figure be released.
I’ll eagerly wait for news of how Monica will turn out.
Just when I thought I’d get a little break after Rize’s release, the wait begins again. Oh well, I can’t wait to see the prototype for her in the future. ^^
I don’t mind the change in designer – I like his artwork – but I hope this doesn’t mean that she’ll end up looking wildly out of place next to the rest of them.
Also, really hoping that they don’t release her in September, I’m already stretching that month. :(
I am with AFB, thought Rize would be the last to “complete” my set, and here another volume announced, which is no surprise!
Top hats on girls are always sexy.
^ But her top hat got smaller then before! :O

I also am stretching that month, lol. Too many great figures getting released at the same time.

Back to topic: I have great hopes on the final result for this Shuraki Vol. 6 figure.

I totally agree.
[…] sorti fin mai et voilà qu’on a déjà une petite preview du futur volume 6. D’après Heisei Democracy la petite loli-goth s’appellerait “Monica Dread Olivier”. Elle n’est pas […]
@ Negative Zero – Nthing the not in Sept thing lol
As for looking out of place. Nida looks out of place, but that doesn’t make her any less wonderful…don’t worry :)
Yay Monica!! She’s by far my favorite Shuraki design and I’m hoping the figure will do her justice! A must buy in any case!
I agree with Pure Trance. The most out-of-place character would have to be Needa. (Totally different character look, and only one using a modern weapon.) But I only got her. So it’s ok. 8)
I like how her design changed just a touch, actually. Hopefully by the time she goes up for preorder, I’ll have enough to order her. Providing the figure looks good. :p
Hi Shingo, just a request, if you have time to listen to the whole drama from Box 3 to 5, could you do some simple summary about what’s the drama is going on or where have it reached since some of us here (including myself) doesn’t know Japanese? It is because there are only some summary from Box 1 & 2 that you had put up for us (HD readers) on the review comments for Box 2 so far. Thanks!

That’s a great suggestion – I’ll try to find a block of time soon to listen to all of the CDs and put together a synopsis of the story. I’m not sure when I’ll be able to, but hopefully within the next week or so…
>>Shingo
I’m also eager to read that synopsis, indeed. I can understand Japanese a bit, but if the speaker talks too fast I can’t follow… Well, I’ll keep studying!
@ blacklotus – She also seems to be a different scale almost, thanks to her more realistic design…next to my Akatsuki she looks small xD;
