With yesterday’s release of the July ’08 issue of Megami Magazine things are officially heating up in the countdown to issue 100! The sticker price was raised to reflect the presence of additional extras, and unlike last issue there are no Nanoha filler posters to be found – just pure original poster goodness, and a lot of nice ones at that. Read on for a look at one of the best Megami issues to appear in recent months:

The extras included in this issue are a double-sided pencil board featuring original Kara no Kyoukai art from TYPE-MOON artist Takeuchi Takashi, Clare-chan Gekijou ~The Comics~ (a 4-panel manga compilation by Shiranagi Masa), and an extra large double-sided poster featuring Ikkitousen Great Guardians and Zero no Tsukaima 3.
Personal highlights from this issue for me include the Kanokon Chizuru poster (despite some wackiness around the eyes), the large Ikkitousen GG poster, scoops on Zero no Tsukaima 3 and the Sekirei anime, the Blassreiter poster (yes, that’s original Niθ art), and the Sekirei anime poster. It’s a good month to be a fan of ample endowments (though I can’t help wishing there was something from RD as well…).
This month’s Girl’s Avenue features the work of Hiiro Yuki, illustrator and artist of the Otogi Juushi Akazukin manga. Next month’s Megami will have a Zero no Tsukaima focus, and will continue gearing up in preparation for the 100th issue celebration coming at the end of July. If this issue is anything to go on it looks like they’ll be pulling out all the stops for the next couple of months, and I can’t wait to see what’s in store!

Wow. A Megami without any trace of Nanoha. o_O
The Sekirei articles piqued my interest, as well as the Koihime Musou and Rakkyo poster. Kanokon one looks slutty, as usual. :3
Louise!!
Yeah, it’s great to see not one but two posters of my darling Louise. I like this month’s Megami more than others, but I’d like to afford to get them more than just read about them! ;_;
So it turns out that all those Konata x Kagami posters were nothing but the product of Hiyori’s imagination…
I’m interested in the LS poster, Murasaki’s, Hiiro Yuki’s and… Nono! I hope for another Yotsuhona (or its sequel) OVA, if only because of Nono.
And yeah, quite puzzling that there are no RD posters.
*drools over* sekirei, kanokon, and blassreister.
i’m so thrilled that sekirei is coming to an anime near you. anyone watch soul eater? (which is another great anime) finally, here’s hoping for a second season of Lucky Star.
Shingo you did it! I am now a Sekirei slave 100% let’s hope the anime guilds the gorgeous ones with the gleaming beauty they deserve! Can’t wait for more of Zero no Tsukaima!!!
I wish that the KnK pencilboard was a poster instead :(
lol @ Christmas in July. I saw that one coming.
As I say this every month, another top quality issue. My highlights are LS, Zero and Kanokon but dam, no Lala.
I wonder what Comp H. can bring out this month?

Meanwhile, for the fan who wants a more conservative wall, there’s not very much … at least in terms of shows I know.
The Special A poster was amusing though (“It’s da bomb! Love me baby!”) and I just about melted at the Shugo Chara poster. Shugo Chara! In Megami! With clothes on! Made me very happy.
Need to buy this one

Lots of good loli, too :3
I always love Takeuchi’s art.
Whats image number 04 promoting?

To quote the post:
A cursory investigation doesn’t reveal any immediate relationship that this small manga collection has to a previous body of work, but maybe someone else is more familiar with it than I am.
I so want this Megumi mag!!!
TYPE-MOON!!!
Oh Chizuru, why must you continue to tempt me into thinking such sinful thoughts? If you appear in figure form I fear I shall be lost forever.
The Shugo Chara poster is incredibly cute.
Great posters.
I like Kanokon and Zero no Tsukaima. There are excellent.
But I am going to wait fort he number 100. :p
Oh man the blassreiter poster is the hotness. Hopefully we will se some more in future issues especially of elea.
Just a question. Remove you the posters of the Magazine?
>>Sead
If I could put them on my walls I would remove them, but lately I’ve just left them in the magazine since my apartment doesn’t allow posting things on the walls.
OK, thank you for the answer. Because, I ordered the number 97, and I was surprised seeing that we could not remove them, I thus made several manipulations to take out them of the magazine.
“I wonder what Comp H. can bring out this month?”
For some reason, there was no issue of Comp H released this past month… 8/
Though the quality of No.98 definitely makes up for it.
>>Akashic Librarian
I just took a quick look through Comp H’s vol. 9 to try to figure out why there was no issue this month, but nothing is mentioned there… I’m puzzled. There’s no information on the official site either.
Thanks for tolerating my inablity to c heck links Shingo :)
Hmmm. His site doesn’t contain any samples of his 4koma. His coloring work is really cool though.
I guess I’m the only one who noticed the ecchi tentacle tease with the green alien?
