We scoop one of the biggest eroge release weekends of 2008 tonight, presenting a mix of 25 new package releases that range from budget titles to heavy hitters like the new ef sequel from minori and G-Senjou no Maou from Akabee Soft. This weekend also sees the release of games from two of my favorite artists: Majodou from Sano Toshihide (G.J?), and Kanojo x Kanojo x Kanojo from Happoubi Jin (ωstar). Wondering why so many big games were released all at once? As we’ve mentioned here before, most Japanese workers are paid once a month on the 25th day of that month. The first weekend after payday is the prime target of industries that depend on the expenditure of discretionary cash, and the eroge industry is no exception - makers plan their release schedules for when fans are most likely to be loaded and able to spend, spend, spend.

I can’t wait for my preorders to come in the mail! I’ll probably start with Majodou, move on to Kanojo^3, and then Rinjoku no Shiro and Aisaiger FLASH over the course of the weekend. My goal will be to report on each in as thorough and timely a manner as possible, but we’ll see how things go… it’s going to be a challenging two days.

I would like to know how badly/minimally censored those pictures are in Majodou and Asaiger Flash. If it isn’t too bad (The official websites and Getchu sometimes enlarge the mosaics to make it even more censored than in the actual games), I might get these 2 titles.
So a picture or 2 from these 2 titles would be a great help. Thanks.

Sure, I’ll get back to you on that. My guess is that the samples you see on the games’ official sites are similar to the way the in-game graphics are rendered, but I’ll check it out when I get the chance and let you know.
