It's hard to tell, I agree. As far as the revisions present there, the newer post notes "a change in the color palette and other subtle fine tuning". Hard to say what that means without a look at a figure known definitively to be an earlier draft.

I would certainly pre-order this figurine.

I opened up both the official blog and the Ameblo sister site to do a side-by-side comparison of the first figurine version and the final amended version.

Maybe I just suck at the “Spot the difference!” game, but the two versions look identical to me. Is anyone able to tell what they changed in the final version?

Ooh, that’s a mighty fine lookin’ figure. I particularly like the pose. Casual, but the lines flow well.

The instant this is available I’ll be jumping on. I’ve always felt that Blanc Niege had the best of the Shining Tears character designs and this seems to capture it really well, far better than earlier offerings.
