The 47th Shizuoka Hobby Show begins today! While primarily oriented toward plamo kits, radio-controlled cars, train models and the like, the show also has a minor contingent of bishoujo figure representation as well (Kotobukiya has already announced a Kizaki Emi PVC from Kurogane no Linebarrels, set to retail at 6,090 yen – can’t tell anything else from that photo, alas). From the exhibitors’ list it seems Kotobukiya, Bandai, and Yujin are the ones to look out for; slim pickings, but we’ll update this post throughout the day with any news we find from the event. Update: a collected summary of Shizuoka Hobby Show coverage can be found below:
News gathered from Gentei Ichiba:
- Aoshima’s next “Funny Knights” series figure will be based on a Kuuchuu Yousai design
- Bandai’s B-Club is producing what look to be PVCs (?) of Gundam 00’s Feldt Grace and Sumeragi Lee Noriega, as well as a bunny suit Karen and a swimsuit Viletta from Code Geass.
The available information is spotty at this point, but those B-Club Geass kits are looking especially awesome. We’ll be on the lookout for better photographic evidence and firm news regarding release plans to emerge in the next couple of days.
Were there any anime garage kits at the show?

Nope, there’s no amateur presence at the Shizuoka Hobby Show, it’s just hobby industry reps (mostly those focusing on vehicle models and toys). The only bishoujo figures present were shown on the side from makers who also focus on vehicles or robots (Bandai, Aoshima, Kotobukiya, Tomy, etc).
The B-Club stuff are quite delicious. I bet they’ll cost an arm and a leg though…
Better start selling my organs. :`(

Ah well; I guess it’s a good thing for my wallet. :)
Thanks for the info.
That Viletta is looking fiiiine. If the polystone B-Club Cornelia is anything to go by though, Karen and Viletta would cost upwards of 10,000 yen x_x That price is better justified by a Freeing Bunny Karen IMO, if there’s ever one made.
I don’t get it. B-Club stuff are expensive like hell, though the quality isn’t really top notch (I have a couple of their resin kits of Sailormoon. Please don’t ask why…8) ). Yet great stuff from Megahouse (a Bandai subsidiary) can be bought for less than what most other companies charge for mediocre stuff. Tis strange…
Mmmmm. Karen and Villeta gooooood. But no bikini Cornelia yet? FAIL
Anyone have any idea of that mizuho is cast off? The night gown she’s wear has a horrible seam line down the side which makes me think it does in fact come off.. but i haven’t been able to track any info down.
