Amiami’s evening update today included a preorder listing for a Cutey Tonko PVC figure from Ramen Tenshi Pretty Menma, the fictional eroge created to inhabit the second season of the Genshiken anime. She’s due out in late June at 23 cm tall (no scale specified, presumably 1/7) and 9,240 yen retail; as is usual for Taki no sculptor is specified either. From the gallery provided it seems she’s a full castoff. Tonko is one of the angels vying for the protagonist’s affections in Pretty Menma, and this listing follow’s Taki’s earlier announcement of Menma herself, also scheduled for June release. Gallery below:

Despite the obvious crimes against Amano Youki‘s design being committed here, I’m slightly attracted purely because Ohno Kanako cosplayed as her in the TV series… someone send help. ;_;

Creepy face is creepy
Stepford angel.
ugh, pass on this one
one word… fugly
Taki sets new records in fugly artwork, taking several awards in the Fuglies, including Creepiest Face, Most Misshapen Breasts, Least Detailed Painting, and having the highest Cost to Fugliness Ratio! This pioneering company has taken on the monumental task of butchering the artwork of countless manga authors and animators and truly shines above the competition!
Well said, thebucket. ROTFL. I agree with everything you said about Taki 100%.
Yet, I pre-ordered their Mogudan Kanu…shudders…
I don’t care what anyone says..
er, are we talking about Mogudan? Aparently not.
Okay, I’m now back on track. I agree with you all about Tacky. Really, what are they thinking? They really have absolutely no sense at all, artistic or otherwise. EXCEPT that they give their poor islander cannibal sculptors a break by not listing their names (not that Tacky even know their names, I’d warrant).
To be fair, they do us a favour by showing us what *not* to buy – and really excel at it. As ‘thebucket’ said, they win many awards for their figures. And just because twelve unlucky people buy each rendition of a figure made by Tacky (sorry to include you, Shingo, but you *do* fall into this category – sending the doctor right away!), it makes them think people love their stuff. I’m not sure what’s up with people liking this stuff, aside from some cuteness or attraction to some ideas I guess.
Don’t worry, Shingo, we’re here for you, and will give you some heavy medicine if you ‘succumb’ to the pain of buying this figure. -_-;
