We first brought news of the new “just a desk” figure brand Gift a month ago when we saw the prototype of their Toda Satoshi (Yume no Kagutsuchino Koukoku)-sculpted Saber unveiled at a Akiba Blog.
Today the maker’s representative and sole employee Kanegon follows up his earlier coverage with a look at the kit’s color resin prototype, as painted by sculptor Toda himself. A clear view of the face won’t be revealed until Hobby Complex Osaka on May 25th (and in the hobby magazines scheduled for release on the same day), and there are no details of the PVC release yet, but from the visual evidence available this is looking like a pretty stunning kit. More on this in our Hobby Japan coverage toward the end of the month; for now, one of Akiba Blog’s pictures is reproduced below:

And then the face turns out to be that of the infamous “Sader” :P.
outfit details are excellent, but I fear the unveiling of the face. His Saber Alter (aka Dark Saber) proto from Solid Theater (& GoodSmile) has a downright ghoulish face. At the same time the face on the Dark Sakura proto is excellent so… I guess I’m hopeful, but ready for the worst.
Oh man, finally. I’ve been looking forward to his Saber for more than long enough.
I have a great feeling about this one (From the looks of the face of the unpainted version).
I do worry that the resin kit version will be very limited in quantity though, causing inane prices on YJA.
Can anyone read this (From Kagutsuchino’s site)?

It doesn’t seem that passage contains any new information, but seems like a good place to look for updates as the event approaches.

Much obliged. m(_ _)m
I totally misinterpreted the passage before. I thought that the sculpt was only going to be PVC, save a few resin kits that are going out as gifts (To somebody).
P.S. Totally missed your post on it a month ago, which could’ve cleared up this huge misunderstanding much earlier. :)
that dress looks purdy…
Guess if it does turn up at an international seller site, I will pre-order it. Love the armour and clothes. This modified version definitely better than the official standard version.
As for the face, from the angled picture, it looks alright. I even bought the Ebcraft’s ‘real’ saber version. So anything better than that, it’s fine with me. 8)
It looks amazing!! Absolutely amazing!! I hope to get the Dark Saber and this one as well- they will look fantastic together.
Thanx Shingo!
Dark Saber came and went out of stock today on Hobby Search, so it’s a hard-to-get figure indeed! ^^
My first thought after seeing her face:
“Wow she looks fucking incredible!”
(Her complete picture is up on his site: http://kagutsuchino.sakura.ne.jp/)

Awesome, thanks for the heads up. That’s a unique take on Saber’s design, and seems a bit different from his previous work as well. I think it’ll take me a little while to get used to.
I love the details of her outfit, love them. But I don’t like the face. The jawline I think is the thing.

I liked it a lot at first, but after much scrutiny, I’m finding her face to be rather…inconsistent in likability (Some pictures are really nice to look at, while some are really odd looking; it all depends on the angle and distance).

Ah well that’s the great thing about garage kits. Some sand paper is all you need to customize the jawline.
