We wrap up our coverage of the garage kit side of WHF Ariake 18 with a final sweep through the day’s photo shoot, catching dozens of great figures that didn’t quite fit in anywhere else. A lot of sculptors worked really hard to make this final event one to remember, and all their hard work paid off:

Two final WHF Ariake 18 posts are planned: another look at what industry items were on display, and the report wrapup with miscellaneous details and speculation as to why the event was canceled. Otanoshimi ni~!
I liked the figure from photo 117.jpg
I wonder who is she….nice coverage as always Shingo.

Thanks!
The kit you’re wondering about is the new original work from Kaoru of circle Klondike (Studio Saru Bunshitsu).
Gallery: the manipulated sexaroid-tsuzumi-
hmm, A lot of nice kits but none which jump at me and say “BUY ME”!!!!
Good thing too cos my 2 Fate Testarossa kits from the Kobe event pretty much cleaned me out.
Please someone produce Mao-neechan in PVC!!! Some very nice pieces there – Peorth & Cammy both lookin’ su-te-kiiiiiii!!!
bring on the PVC of REFLECT’s new Cammy.
The Terada Cover Girls based bust is really impressively scultped… but I kinda wonder why this piece was picked over the others, considering all of the awesome work in that book.
This WHF definitely ended on a good note.
I’ve been dying to get my hands on a great kit of Horo for ages. I’m not too big on the Horo pinkie, but the other Horo (108-110) doesn’t look half bad.
Kitsutefu’s kits are always pleasant to look at (Never seen them on YJA). I wouldn’t mind getting my hands on 158 and 159.
Great looking stuff as usual from the talented Japanese. Too bad my figure modeling skill is below average.
After spoiling a couple of original expensive kits and a half dozen fakes, I doubt I will attempt another g-kit for the forseeable future.
I will stick to buying completed figures and continue to practise my modelling skills.
any more info on the milk girl bust from 085.jpg to 090.jpg.. name, scale, size?

You’re in luck, for 159 at least. It sounds like Tora is planning to produce the others in PVC as well.

Here’s what we know:
The kit was sculpted by someone named Tsukata/Tsukada (塚田) whose works are presented through a dealer called Gill Gill. He maintains a blog here.
More info on the figure in question can be found here. Her title is ミルクガールの中指の思い出 Milk Girl no Nakayubi no Omoide (Milk Girl’s Middle Finger Memory). She’s based on an illustration in Terada Katsuya‘s Cover Girls artbook.
Specific size and scale are unknown, but it’s a big hunk of resin… probably around 30 cm high at a rough estimate.
I really hope the tukata Shiro Tougi kit gets a PVC release. It’s just too cute not too. I wouldn’t mind getting the Nerine one either.
I also am quite fond of the Louise one (Heh. With a dog collar). Not that I don’t have enough Louise figures as it is.

Oh, I was referring to Kitsutehu’s Garance kit (http://www.geocities.jp/shing_en/colors-gk.html#0), not the PVC. I wanted to try my hand at building it, along with Aizome no Gunyuu (http://www.geocities.jp/shing_en/colors-gk.html#1).
I know I haven’t been searching right on YJA, because I haven’t seen Garance for a long time, let alone Aizome.
Wow, that’s really comprehensive (For the Milk Girl). Would you happen to have the original illustration for the Milk Girl?

Just to add on to what Shingo said, the kit sold for 13,000 at the convention. Since its first appearance at the Winter WF, 5 kit have appeared on YJA (Give or take one or two; I don’t think I could’ve missed many going on there everyday). I was able to snatch the third one up at retail price.
For some reason, the scalpers don’t go after this one, and it’s not an item many Japanese people fight for on YJA (Luckily for me). I know this because two people have posted about their recent acquisitions of this kit on the e2046 forums (A forum for a recast shop).
This is the 5th one, and it’s still running if you’re interested:

I got one of those!! It’s a great kit and I’m almost done with her….I just have to finish her cow hat…LOL. The very first one that sold went for crazy prices- like 650 bucks! I got lucky and got mine for I think 150 bucks. but yeah she is awesome piece.
BUT she is only 20 cenitmeters tall- not 30 centimeters…still it’s a good chunk of resin!
The facial expression on 111-123 absolutely floored me. PVC, pretty please? Ideally the long-haired version, but I’d snap up either one with absolutely no idea of the source material.

Thanks for the correction on the size. Without anything next to it in the photos I couldn’t get an accurate mental image of how big it was.

See my reply to the first comment above for information on the figure’s source.
It’s unfortunately unlikely that we’ll see her in PVC, due to the poor showing made by Kaoru’s Whip x Nonoko Noon and Moon in PVC form, both of which ended up greatly discounted in the bargain bin.
I’m with you in hoping for a PVC conversion despite this; maybe enough water has passed beneath the bridge that Yamato would consider working with her again.
I definitely like the Louise up the top. The second Horo is cute too (the one not the Pinky.st). A lot of others are really sweet, but none that I’d scream for being made in PVC.
Even if it came out on last year’s summer Wonder Festival, Reko-chan from Mushihimesama Futari (pics 97 – 107) still has me swooning. Unsweet is an awesome modeller. I’m looking (HOPING) for when this will translate to PVC…
I was wondering who is she?

Thanks for your guidance, Shingo…:)

The answer is right above your comment, actually. ^^
She’s Reko from Mushihime-sama Futari, a shoot-’em-up arcade game from CAVE.
