Aegis is the official romanization. Atlus changed it to “Aigis” because of copyright issues apparently.

Then they changed the name of Episode Yourself to “The Journey” Episode Aegis in to “The Answer”, which are both very silly.

Regarding the Aegis/Aigis distinction: as far as I know the spellings are interchangeable, though you’re right – for comprehensiveness I should have used both. I’ll edit the post to suit, thanks for pointing it out.

Haha, no worries. She’s from the Shin Megami Tensei series by Atlus. It’s basically this RPG where the hero has to go to school during the day, and explore a dungeon by night (Which the school transforms into during midnight). They have to figure out why this is happening and why shadows are appearing during the night to drain people of their will to live (aka Apathy syndrome).

Aigis (I’ll stick with this) is an anti-shadow weapon in the game that joins you later on. Any more and I’ll ruin the plot.

Thank you. As far as I know, only two copies have made it to YJA. I got the only one from the last WF (Only 20 released then), and I saw another one on YJA from this WHF.

You know, this has bothered me for a while. Is it Aigis or Aegis? The original Japanese version uses Aigis, but the NA version used Aegis.

Should I assume they are interchangeable?

I honestly wish I could appreciate this sculpt but it reminds me of this vapid idiot I once had to work with who had a similar face and body type. So, yeah. If it weren’t for that I’d probably like the figure.

Nah, I have thwe Alter version, and have stared at the game persona for hours (she is my favourite character), and I like the Alter version best – it’s really her to a T.

This one is nice, and I do notice skill when I see it, but it’s not character-correct to me, so I’d not buy it. Personally, I’ve never liked too much that’s come out of Heavy Gauge, except for the MegaHouse QB figures..
