Otaku goods shop Amiami’s evening update today included a preorder listing for a new finished PVC figure from maker Daiki Kougyou, the original Yamadaya no Akuma-san 2. Originally a resin kit released by circle Yamadaya at Wonder Festival 2008 Winter, as has been typical of past Yamada Yoshinari (Yamadaya) original sculpts, Daiki Kougyou has picked it up for release in PVC. The kit is scheduled for release in late August at 1/6 scale (26 cm tall) and a retail price of 9,240 yen, and is pretty well nekkid aside from the (castoffable) apron that doesn’t hide things very well even when firmly in place. Images below:

An Amiami store-limited pink apron version of the figure is also in production, with similar release specifications:

a nice piece, but I’m not dropping the cash for it.
I think I will get this. I have the first one that was released with her on her knees so will be nice to get the pair, will go for the blue hair colour to match the other.
I’m with you, Manning – I managed to score the clear apron version of the first Akuma-san release, so this one will go really nicely with it. Hard to resist the temptation even with the elevated price… ;_;
I have the first sitting version too. But I was a little disappointed in that piece as the body was cast in 2 parts, with the very visible seamline just below (or is it above? my memory’s bad) the navel. (Similar issue with the HUGE 1/4 bunny girl)
I do hope Daiki will improve this issue.
Surprisingly, this figure doesn’t really do anything for me. Maybe if the apron was only translucent at the swell of the breasts in the same manner as spikey-ball prisoner Kanu’s panties.
I checked out the sitting version of this figure at Amiami and I found it to be much sexier. If I could find it I’d buy it.

Would it be possible for you to upload pictures somewhere of the sitting figure castoff so I can see what the severity of the seamline is in case I have a chance to purchase one?

Sure. Any free fast image db server to recommend? I will try to asap. It’s not as bad as Orchid Seed’s Anna’s shoulder seams, but still, of all the places to have a seam…
Photobucket is as good as any. It’s what I use.

Sorry. I couldn’t find the time to take the pics with my handphone cam now.
But here’s links to photos of her:

You can see the seam along her waistline. It’s still much better done than the seams of the recent figures though.
And i just noticed Akuma 2 doesn’t have a tail…

Thank you very much. I found this gallery (http://www.moeyo.com/2006/07/post_592.html) through the links you provided and it gave me the images I wanted to see. The seamline is unfortunate but it’s not as bad as I thought and is certainly not a dealbreaker for me. It’s a beautiful sexy figure and I will get it if I find one.
Yeah, I noticed Akuma 2 doesn’t have a tail. That’s part of what made the first figure so sexy.:)

Sorry I arrived late to this – if you’d like further photo data on that waist seam I can snap some shots when I get home today, let me know.
Please do. I can count on your attention to detail.
