Kotobukiya unleashed four new finished PVC figures for preorder at their official online shop today, a few of which I’m betting will be big sellers when they see release in August (all four are August releases). First up is Nekomiya Nono (cat ears school swimsuit thigh-highs ver.) from Yotsunoha, coming at 1/6 scale (24 cm tall) with a sculpt from Abe Masato and a retail price of 6,090 yen. Next is Kawazoe Tamaki from Bamboo Blade, clocking in at 1/8 scale (18 cm tall) and 5,775 yen, with a sculpt from Kiohara Hidemasa. Third is Noumi Kudryavka of Little Busters!, 1/8 scale (17.5 cm tall) and 5,775 yen with a sculpt from Nisshii, and finally we have the odd man out with Leon Magnus from Tales of Destiny, coming at 1/10 scale (16 cm tall) and 4,410 yen with a sculpt from Tatsumaki. First three: yes.
Last one: no.
The girls are great, and are good sizes. The guy is way too small (just like the Persona 3 guys Koto did way back). Can’t understand why they do that, but oh well..
Have to see what my budget’s looking like, and I’ll see if I’ll go with the first three figures.
Loving the Nono!! She is sooooo cute- it’s disgusting!!
She will be mine!!
really disapointed with tama-chan, her face ain’t that good, ‘specially her mouth :<
Will most likely be getting Leon. Need more guys in my collection. I wish Kotobukiya would make them bigger though.
That Leon is tempting, but the scale’s definitely disappointing. C’mon Koto, give us some 1/8 guys.
Here’s hoping for a Kirino PVC after that Tamaki one.
I hope Azuma Satori gets a figure…she didn’t have that big a part in the anime, but I found myself liking her a lot. She’s cute ^^
Sigh. Why, Kotobukiya, why won’t you make your male figures at least 1/8? The stuff targeted at the female market seems to be confined to 1/10 (notably, the Devil May Cry figures which have a big male fan base are generously scaled). I just finished kicking Leon’s ass in the PSP adaptation Tales of the World and would have bought this in a heartbeat if it was a decent scale ;w;
The photos of Nono and Tamaki are unlike the usual Kotobukiya, they seem so much more refined and polished. Or is it just me…?
I guess Koto’s producing according to actual real sizes. i.e. Koto decide all figures should be around 20cm. Then it produces the figures accordingly, scaling up or down to meet that 20cm mark.
Yeah, I agree, I want more large male figures. e.g. Ryu, Balrog(the Spanish, not the boxer) and Sagat of SF fame for a start. Then, Archer, Lancer and Gigamesh. 8)
Is it just me that whenever I see Noumi Kudryavka with that hat on it always looks like she has a fried egg on her head?
