Update: preorders are now open at Amiami for Alice, Mellona, Ibuki, and Mika.
Original Post: Two slight movements on the Alice scene over the noon hour today: first is a Moeyo! Akibajin Blog post that scoops the resin sample of the adult Alice (“Boost” version Alice) we saw yesterday in the pages of Hobby Japan. She’s apparently now on display at the Kotobukiya store in Akihabara, and he’s got a photo gallery with some great close-up shots (though this one casts a discouraging light on her castoff prospects).
Second is an update at the official Alter x Megahouse collaboration Alpha Omega brand homepage, which presents a listing for the Excellent Model CORE Queen’s Gate Mon wo Hiraku Mono Alice (Arisu) finished PVC model that we’ve been tracking for the past few months. The page confirms information we’d previously reported on the figure (August release at 5,775 yen, Akatsuki sculpt, 1/8 scale, 14.5 cm tall, castoffable), and now that she’s online we can expect preorders to commence very shortly – likely later in the day today. This post will be updated once the first preorders are spotted.

man, I just posted a link to the Moeyo article on the HJ pics article, and then you post this article, Shingo. Guess I should have waited another minute or two. Still a nice piece even if not castoff, but it is a bit disappointing, and a couple angles on her face leave me wondering how it will turn out.
I’m still hoping against hope for a castoff, but I don’t really mind if it’s not. Yamachichi has fast become another favorite sculptor in my book and I’ll definitely be picking her up.
Looks like Moe Soul has preorder listings up for Alice and Mellona (and Ibuki and Mika), though no pictures yet.
Jeez, I’m loving the look both of the Alices bring…..dang.
Where exactly does alice come from? she’s designed by nitro+, but is she from a game?
Alice is an original character designed by artist and character designer Niθ who was commissioned to bridge the gap between the Queen’s Blade combat artbook series and their Queen’s Gate counterparts, the latter of which feature the same combat system and book format as Queen’s Blade but with characters drawn from other sources as opposed to being originally created for the series (Pastel Ink from Moetan and Iroha from Samurai Spirits are the first two copyrighted characters to appear in Queen’s Gate).
Unlike her other Queen’s Gate counterparts Niθ’s Alice design is original, but is credited as a joint Nitro+ / Hobby Japan collaboration, and her character is conceived literally as “Mon wo Hiraku Mono” (“she who opens the door”) between the other franchises and the Queen’s Blade combat universe.
Hope that helps explain things a bit!
thanks a lot :)
forgot to add: because iroha and moetan were from known licences, I thought it would be the same for Alice. I didn’t think it could but an original design since queen’s gate was indeed suppose to take characters from other sources
anyway, thx again :P
No problem, I can see where the confusion could arise.
Looking good! ^^
I seriously need to block this site on my router because every time I come here I find myself spending like 100$ on pre-orders.
God I hate that I love these things.
I hope that alice gets put on hlj
