Meh more of these? As said by many, I'm also not a fan of these 3/4 busts, but the character design is really awesome imo. I'd definitely buy if they were completed PVC.. oh well.

Well,as was said before these designs deserved a full body sculpt.

If they were cheaper I would give them a try,but with that price...

It seems to me each time Koto announced another one of these it is less interesting than the last, and I'm a big Shunya fan, but the busts just don't do it for me.

My theory is that it's a combination of saving on several fronts: sculpting time and precision (no need to get the legs right or figure out how to effectively attach them to the base) as well as production time (again with the base engineering, as well as the lack of need to make the legs look pretty below the thigh).

This cold cast series has struck me from the beginning as something of a blatant money grab, which is unfortunate as some of these designs really deserve more care and attention (and lower price PVC releases). ;_;

I have nothing against cold cast ... but damn, why can't they finish the figure?

I mean, with this included base, the figure is nearly as tall as a completely finished one. So, why cut the statue before the knees and add a rock base? Does this lower the production costs?

Although this cold casts are pretty good looking, this nonsense issue keeps me from buying it :/
