Bandai subsidiary figure maker Megahouse updated their Mega Hobby Station site this evening with new calendar listings for four figures we’ve been tracking for the past several months. The newly listed figures include:
- Excellent Model CORE Queen’s Blade P-6 Chihen no Shikyaku Mellona – late August release at 5,775 yen
- Excellent Model CORE Queen’s Gate Mon wo Hiraku Mono Arisu (Alice) – late August release at 5,775 yen
- Excellent Model CAPCOMANIAX Ibuki / Rainbow Mika (from Street Fighter) – late July release at 5,775 yen
Sculptor information and other details can be found at our earlier coverage.
As of posting only thumbnail images are currently available and the figures do not have individual product pages, but we’ll be on the lookout for a more enhanced online presence to appear soon, along with preorder listings.

yea baby I’m lookin forward to Alice! Melona actually looks pretty good from the thumbnail they got there too. Some neat translucent hair coloring thing going on there.
Ibuki looks very good, I think I’ll get her and Mellona :D
Not sure about Ibuki’s base. The figure itself doesn’t look like it’s unbalanced, just that it might fall over at the slightest touch with that base. R. Mika on the other hand looks deliciously HEALTHY.
Thanks Shingo for the info. Again, I learnt something new from HD today:
Megahouse is a subsidiary of Bandai. I honestly didn’t know that. (-_-)”
Heh. I certainly didn’t have a clue that MH was a part of Bandai – they certainly don’t seem like they are. But I suspect that the big “B” wanted to make a side-project apart from their regular kits and toys that specifically focused on quality figures and whatnot.
Well, they’ve certainly done that! I’v become a stalwart fan of MegaHouse, and want every figure they produce – as long as it’s larger scale, of course. I’m not into their character studio figures nor their action-figure stuff.
To the topic, the QB stuff is stunning as usual, and the Capcom ones are going to be great – and all at excellent prices for the quality we know from MH! Wowee! ^___^
Sorry I hadn’t been more thorough on the Bandai-Megahouse connection in the past.
To clarify, all of the following are Bandai properties:
Megahouse
Hobby Japan
Queen’s Blade
This is why Queen’s Blade PVCs have thus far come exclusively from Megahouse, and also why Hobby Japan is always the first one to scoop them and offer exclusive mail order deals.
This is also why PVC figures based on some Bandai anime properties (Gundam primarily) come exclusively through Megahouse.
I’ll have to keep an eye out for R. Mika.
Well as a Toushirou/Capcom/Melting Neuron geek the Capcomaniax duo are no-brainers for me.
Mellona and Alice both look excellent, though it is significantly less likely I will get them due to just not having the same character and sculptor affinity. They are definitely worthy though, so maybe.
Well, I guess if I can’t get Alter’s Alice, I’ll get this Megahouse one, I’ve been really tempted to get the megahouse one since I saw it in Hobby Japan May 08, very nice indeed.
Mellona and Alice, like all the Megahouse QBs, are must buys for me.
Alice looks very very nice.
Hmm… this Ibuki is a lot more… ‘developed’ than the game counterpart. It’s nice, though I never playing her.
Alice looks damn fine. Me want!
I like Ibuki in the game(as a significant change from the similar Ken/Ryu/Sagat/Akuma).
As for 4 new figures, I like Mellona the most. Since we’ve yet gotten a Menace figure, Mellona’s the closest proxy to the real thing then. 8)
And yeah, Mellona looks like she’s fully castoffable as Cattleya. 8)
Thanks again to Shingo for educating me on the significance of this Megahouse-Bandai link.
This puts Bandai in a much better light to me, as I had always thought Bandai is a 1-trick company, with only Gundam as its sole cash cow.
Here’s one for you guys (Shingo, blacklotus & etc.) if anyone’s still checking in on this article: Bandai merged with Namco famously a few years ago, and they own Mega House – so why aren’t there Tales series and Soul Calibur Excellent Model Series figures coming out every month? I know I could go for an Ivy and a Sheena Fujibayashi. What do you guys think?
I could use an Core series Ivy from Soulcaliber. Better still if she’s castoffable. (Not ever likely, but I can dream.)
I suppose SoulCal is too old and not in the news for any new figures. Maybe, when the next game is launched, we’ll see renewed interest in figures from this series. There’s also a lack of SF figures until recently.
I’m still waiting for other KOF figures besides Mai.
Ibuki for sure. The only thing that concerns me is the base but we’ll see.
MEllona looks very nice.. I was pondering her cast off-ability too.. It seems that the only way i can tell is if you can remove the front hair peice and replace it with another.. which wouldn’t be so far fetched..
Wonder if you can remove that little snake friend of hers on her leg :)
ACtualy upon further studying, it appears as MAYBE the hands themselfs might come apart from the hair peice, would need more detailed pictures to be sure…
No clue about any other cast off hints, tho her nether region sure does look more details than any other QB/MH figure i’ve seen to date, but that could be an optical illusion from the…..goo? :)
Cant tell if her skirt is cast or not..but here’s to hoping!
>>the_pseudokings
That’s a good question. I’m not sure why they’re not doing Soul Calibur and Tales-series figures… I guess they’re not quite as popular as Squeenix games and DOA/Street Fighter, but that doesn’t explain their utter absence from the scene. Maybe we’ll get NAMCOMANIAX after this Capcom series plays out. Holding out hopes.

Mellona is definitely castoffable; I can’t imagine that the main QB line would break from tradition in such a radical way that they wouldn’t go that route. I’ll definitely eat my hat this time if I’m wrong (still waiting on Alter’s Kanu…).
Just pre-ordered Ibuki,
I would like to see Ivy and Taki from Soul caliber too.
