The official blog of online figure and otaku goods retailer Hobby Stock updated this morning with the news that preorders would commence for their store-limited Lycoris Radiata Tsuzuri PVC today (April 21st) at noon, and indeed they have! We now have complete release details for the figure, as well as castoff images (reproduced below): the figure will ship in September at 1/8 scale (18 cm tall), with a sculpt from Hiroman (homepage) and production cooperation from Alter. The retail price is 8,190 yen (tax included), but for preorders placed by midnight on April 27th the price is reduced to 7,665 yen. Those interested in purchasing internationally will have to do so through a proxy service, as the figure is confirmed as available exclusively through Hobby Stock’s online shop. Wow!!! She looks amazing!! I love the face!
Castoffable is just a bonus here- not the driving force- (but it does help).
a very nice figure, but quite steep and possibly unavailable to westerners like me. Though some of the other HS exclusives have made it to the west through the figure makers they teamed with to make them and AAA Anime.
Almost hard to believe it’s a Hiroman as it doesn’t really look like I expect his work to. Not an insult to the piece by any means though, just an observation.
This is why I stopped denying my hidden meidocon tendencies.
Maids?
Kind of want
But price tag kind off damaging my wallet ;_;
Looks nice… but is this a completed figure or a kit? I read earlier reports which said it was a kit…

Agreed, this doesn’t look much like typical Hiroman to me either. The intricacies of the dress sculpt come as no surprise, but I didn’t know he was capable of a face that so closely matches Yokota’s original design. I’ve revised my opinion of his talent upward after seeing this prototype.

It’s a pre-assembled, prepainted PVC figure, not a resin kit.

Thanks for the confirmation.
I have no idea what this is from, but this is a very nice-looking figure, based on these pics.

Tsuzuri is from りこりす ~Lycoris Radiata~ (Erogamescape), an eroge released on March 24th, 2006 by Terios (the brand helmed by artist Yokota Mamoru, perhaps better known as the illustrator of the Rune Soldier light novels). Tsuzuri is apparently the token tsundere among the three maids you meet in the game.
I’m not sure if that helps at all… I haven’t played it so I can’t say much more.
Doesn’t matter to me. The girl is from an entirely unknown source (I don’t like not knowing the girls I buy), it’s not available easily, and the price is too high anyway. So, not for me, but I have better figures to sink my money on! ^_^

I’ve never had a problem with Hiroman’s faces, but I will admit they tend to be simple, albeit solid pieces of work, but you are certainly right about this one’s face being a bit of a Hiroman revelation. I am also revising my opinion upward and look forward to his future works, hopeful based on somewhat more known properties or at least a bit less expensive and a bit more available. And still with incredibly intricate clothing. I’d like to see him sculpt Kurumi from Steel Angel Kurumi in her maid/waitress regular look. Might end up with a similar energy to this Tsuzuri, which wouldn’t be a bad thing at all.
Hi guys, someone know a way for a non-japanese guy like me to preorder this PVC? Thank you!
Very nice! But fortunately she doesn’t hooked me. Otherwise I had to go for proxy bidding again and that is very painful to my wallet :P
Luckily she is pretty much out of my reach, or else I wouldn’t be able to resist even at that price x)
Hi Lord Gara!
On the bottom left of this site are “proxy” service site that will purchase the product in question for you and ship it to the States- or where ever you live I think. I have used shopping mal japan with a few purchases I won from yahoo japan auctions and I was impressed with the speed it came to me and their customer service.
In the end it took about 20 days for both auctions to come to the states and be mailed to me.
tempted to get…but steep price of the fig itself and going through a proxy service will be too expensive for me…quite a shame…
I’ve followed his one for quite awhile. While I do like it, it’s just that too expensive to acquire. A shame.
@ Lord Gara -
I use the proxy service Celga. I was introduced to them by a guy on the Animesuki message boards over a year ago when I began purchasing anime scripts, figures, resins and garage kits.
I’ve spent so much, they probably put a wing onto their house because of me. O_o;
But, seriously, I’m sure the ones below are good too, I’ve just never been forced to use anyone else.
I would buy it if it’s distributed normally… but with proxy service, the total would cost like 10-11 k yen ? A little bit too much even though I really like this one. =/
