Urushihara seems to be operating at pretty close to maximum capacity these days with his manga work (and the occasional anime OP/ED)… I wonder if it makes financial sense to do another episode of Front Innocent. I certainly hope so.

Since starting this job I’ve been surprised at how many eroge companies don’t retain uncensored versions of their old material (the really old stuff, that is – I’m sure they all keep uncensored versions on hand these days).

I’m not keeping a close eye on what eroanime is being internationally licensed, but I was under the impression that most recent titles have been seeing uncensored release eventually. If that’s not the case it should be, if only for economic reasons as you say; there’s definitely a market for all things demosaiced out there, and I’m guessing the eroanime companies can use every last yen or dollar they can get.

You know it just really hit me that there must be thousands of uncensored master copies of all the ero-anime titles sitting in the A/V vaults of the various companies. Unless they’re licensed outside Japan the only ones who’ll see them will be the people who worked on it or studio employees. I just seems like such a shame. Not just for us but for the fans in Japan, the animators, and the companies themselves who would see a significant increase in profits selling uncensored titles.

Sigh. Mini-rant over.
