This particular item has been on a lot of folks’ eroanime wish lists for awhile now (mine included), so when the news of its production showed up at Getchu yesterday I was very happy indeed: at long last the conclusion to Anik/Himajin’s Sora no Iro, Mizu no Iro eroanime OVA is being produced! Based on the 2004-released Ciel eroge by the same name, the first Soramizu episode was originally released in July of 2006. With the passage of time many of us abandoned hope that we would see further work from the combination of Taka Tony and Kuroda Kazuya, who has been occupied with character design duty on such titles as Kaibutsu Oujo and Spice and Wolf. The Getchu product entry reveals that the two will be united once again for this second episode, which is scheduled for release on June 27th. Production is credited to a new brand called Nihikime no Dozeu, which Getchu links back to Anik, the parent company of the now-defunct Himajin as well as brands Harenchi Restaurant Amour and Suzuki Mirano. I’ve been waiting like two years…
at last… it will come to and end…
Hmm, I had not heard about this yet. Good news . . .
Yay, now I have to actually watch episode 1 all the way through without just skipping to the sex :V :V
Kazuya Kuroda is a god amongst men. Fell in love with his designs since Vandread.
Now if we could get the second episode of Front Innocent…
You know it just really hit me that there must be thousands of uncensored master copies of all the ero-anime titles sitting in the A/V vaults of the various companies. Unless they’re licensed outside Japan the only ones who’ll see them will be the people who worked on it or studio employees. I just seems like such a shame. Not just for us but for the fans in Japan, the animators, and the companies themselves who would see a significant increase in profits selling uncensored titles.
Sigh. Mini-rant over.

Urushihara seems to be operating at pretty close to maximum capacity these days with his manga work (and the occasional anime OP/ED)… I wonder if it makes financial sense to do another episode of Front Innocent. I certainly hope so.

Since starting this job I’ve been surprised at how many eroge companies don’t retain uncensored versions of their old material (the really old stuff, that is – I’m sure they all keep uncensored versions on hand these days).
I’m not keeping a close eye on what eroanime is being internationally licensed, but I was under the impression that most recent titles have been seeing uncensored release eventually. If that’s not the case it should be, if only for economic reasons as you say; there’s definitely a market for all things demosaiced out there, and I’m guessing the eroanime companies can use every last yen or dollar they can get.
good stuff good stuff good stuff!
Ah one of the highest quality ero-anime out there ^^
well, i’m jus hoping that those guys own cars, so that the spike of gas prices would force them to sell the uncen versions to earn a little extra for their set of wheels
