Today’s (non-HD) Headlines:
- Anime: Maaya Sakamoto sings Macross F OP
- Figure: To Love-Ru Sairenji Haruna preorder open
- Figure: Sega Prize scoops March bishoujo offerings from Melty Blood, Eva, Haruhi
Eroge: Lilith’s Shoujo no Shimobe-kun site updated
It’s a little known piece of trivia that Evangelion and Haruhi in fact take place in the same classroom.
Not a lot of note happened over the weekend (at least not that showed up on my radar), which is perhaps fortunate given that I’m still feeling rather drained from last week’s marathon of Wonder Festival coverage. Over the weekend I got in some much-needed house cleaning and took a whole lot of figure pictures which will eventually make it into reviews; currently working through the rather onerous task of processing them and weeding out the utterly craptastic ones.
The image in the thumbnail is from the cover of the new [ERO] Tetrodotoxin Dragonaut/Garnet doujinshi, now available for purchase at Toranoana and elsewhere. It was only a matter of time before Nise Kurosaki tackled this most monumental piece of subject material, and by all accounts he seems to have done it justice… I can’t wait to get ahold of a copy for my own nefarious purposes.
We’ll be getting a review of this up pretty soon, but I figured it was worth mentioning that the Gurren Lagann Yoko Portraits artbook is now available at J-List. It comes very highly recommended! /end whoredom
interesting bit of trivia. can you flesh it out a bit more?
I don’t know if you talked about them before, but there are 2 new DOA Sega Prize figures listed on HLJ today :

They look like Shunya Yamashita designed, but I’m not sure. Any info someone ?

It’s a (bad) joke based on what look like recycled props between the Eva and Haruhi prize figure sets from Sega. ^^;

Ahh, sweet! Thanks for the link. Those were announced a month or so ago, but never had pictures attached so I had forgotten about them… they’re exactly as you say, a second round of Yamashita Shunya-designed DOA prize figures. I’ll try to dig up some more info tomorrow if no one else beats me to it.
got the the gurren lagann yoko portraits artbook a couple of weeks ago. definitely worth it for the yoko fans. dug the actual ‘photos’, too bad all the artwork in the book weren’t made into ‘photos’. the tetrodotoxin garnet looks very yum. should get my hands on it.
Thanks SbebiWan for the pictures. I had earlier pre-ordered blindly from another webshop without any pictures, trusting mainly on the Shunya name. 8)
The Yoko artbook is simply wonderful. Wouldn’t mind a second issue sometime in the future.
