An update at Moon Phase has lent credence to the rumor that the long-awaited latest installment in the To Heart 2 franchise, Another Days, lacks a story route for Komaki Ikuno. The invalid younger sister of Komaki Manaka was a big draw leading up to the release of the Another Days expansion, so if this news is true it could mean we’re in for another round of hellfire from irate Japanese fans similar to the ones that accompanied the release of Light’s Dies Irae and Cuffs’ Garden. We’ll be watching for further news on this; the game goes on sale this Friday, February 29th.

Ah, jeez. Why would they cut her route? Well, we’ll find out in a couple days or so if this is true.
This rumor, and just a few days away from the release date? This is odd…
Looks like the game has just been released, I’ll let you know in a few hours if this is true.
Nooo~
This better not be true because Ikuno is my favorite character and I was looking forward to playing her path. ; o ;
Ok, the truth of the matter:
Relax, you get to nail Inuno (however the scene is a little unusual)
However you don’t get to nail Nanako (she is still a primary schooler after all)
I think the concern was less over whether you can have sex with her than whether she has a full plot arc (with a proper ending). Have you made it through her whole scenario?
Well basically, here is how it is: (SPOILERS)
Ikuno’s arc is an unlocked arc separate from the Another Day’s storyline. Essentially Ikuno’s arc is Manaka’s arc completely told from Ikuno’s point view. Because you are removed from Takaaki, you can choose to have Takaaki voiced in this arc (and only this arc). The story serves to show what Ikuno was thinking during Manaka’s arc and tells the player what they may not have noticed. Namely Ikuno slowing falling in love with Takaaki, even when he is nailing her sister. I personally didn’t find anything to complain about, but if the fact that Ikuno’s arc is based on Manaka’s riles you up, riot away.
Thanks for the clarification. I think that’s what the Moon Phase post was getting at; that her arc wasn’t conventional, and was told from the point of view of Ikuno as protagonist. An interesting way to go about it.
Thank for comfirming this you guys.
It’s a bit dissapointing since I don’t really care for Manaka, but you do get to develop Ikuno’s (and Manaka at the same time) character more right?
yes
Actually now that I’m actually playing the arc I’m pretty sure what I’ve said before was not right. From the looks of it, Ikuno’s arc takes place after Manaka’s finishes, it’s a completely new arc, it is in Ikuno’s point of view however.
