In today’s figure news: Goodsmile’s recently announced Nanoha PVC goes up for preorder, preorders are also up for Yamato’s Dynamite Keikaku Kanu (alternate color version) – who comes with spiky balls, Toy’sworks’ Miyamoto Rei comes with a soft chest part, Q-six’s Linda designed resin is available for order once again, Miku and Narika are coming in resin from Volks, and more! Wonder Festival is in five days and counting – stay tuned for further coverage, coming soon.

Goodsmile leads the news today with the official announcement of their Nanoha (instructor’s uniform ver.) PVC (first scooped two weeks ago here) from Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha. She’s coming out in June at 5,800 yen retail and 1/8 scale, approximately 20 cm tall (base included) and with a sculpt from Tokunaga Mitsunori. She’s now available for preorder at Amiami and should be up elsewhere soon.

A couple of releases we’ve mentioned here in the past few days are now up for preorder – first is Yamato’s Dynamite Keikaku Kanu Unchou (alternate color ver.) from Ikkitousen, complete with spiky balls in place of the standard chain anchor blocks that accompanied the original version. She retails in April at 13,440 yen.

Toy’sworks’ Miyamoto Rei from Highschool of the Dead is also now available, with the additional news that one of the two torsos she comes with is a “soft chest part”. Yet another gimmick to provide a rationale for the high price of 7,800 yen retail; as earlier reported, we can expect her release in late May.

Those who don’t mind purchasing through a proxy service can take advantage of the newly reopened order status for the Q-six Linda-designed Hitozuma Fujisaki Touko resin kit, which sold out soon after its initial release but is now available for order once again (directly from Q-six only, alas). I wish they’d put up jpgs instead of those crappy gifs for sample images, they make her look like she’s carved out of wood…

Moving on to Wonder Festival news, site updates from Volks, Dengeki Hobby, and Hobby Stock bring a look at what we can expect from them in the industry hall. Of particular interest from Volks is their Hatsune Miku resin kit, along with a Narika resin we can assume will eventually follow their Haruka (from Alice Soft’s Choukou Sennin Haruka) in PVC form. From Hobby Stock comes the news that they’ll have a color prototype of their Tsuzuri PVC from Terios’s Lycoris Radiata on display, which is scheduled for HS limited release later this year. We’ll bring further details on these items as the event approaches, and after.
countdown to
5 days!
Grrrrrr………..Spikey Balls Kanu is superior to the regular anvil version!!!
GOING INTO FULL ON NERD RAGE!!!!!!!
>:( >:( >:(
Dammit!!
Piss off Kanu!! Ikkitousen SUCKS anyway.
But, I gotta say the Rei HSotD looks pretty schweeet!
Thanx Shingo!!
yea I agree that alternate version prisoner Kanu looks so much better than the original! I think I’d still be too embarassed to display it proudly though lol. Maybe when I get my own place…
I don’t know what you’re doing to get these updates coming so often and regularly, Shingo, but I love it!
If you’re going to WonFes, you’ll probably take a well-deserved rest afterwards.
I guess its a good thing limited funds kept me from getting the first Kanu incarnation. Will pick up pink spiky Kanu whilst in Japan :D
That Hatsune Miku figure is quite impressive, but this is Volks we’re talking about. Of course, it’d probably be expensive as hell too.
I just checked the photos of Nanoha on Hobby Search, and I must say, that I think she really is the best Nanoha I’ve seen so far. Must get her! ^^
As for the Kanu, she really does look better than the other one, but I hope they do better in the final one than the first. Eh? -_-;
Miyamoto Rei isn’t extremely exciting, but the prospect of two different bodies is good. Just hope the figure’s better than most Toy’s Works’ fare..
The Linda-inspired kit isn’t my type, thank goodness. ^^
As for the Miku, she’s definitely never going to see a general release as a finished product, but I’d like to see her made as one of those rare PVC figures Volks have been known to make. We can dream..
spike mace or “morning star” at the end of chains… know as FLAIL… tho no handles
Kanu,
mace or “morning star” at the end of chains.. known as flail.. skin shading on pantsu.. for the wet/sweat/wee look… blak hair instead of blueish of the original..
Cobra Kai’s Kanu sculpt is a mix combination of her bound condition in chapter 12 as well as Ryuubi Gentoku chained and imprisonment condition
Nanoha makes it my 2nd fig. in my June ‘want’ list. I need to start saving now if I’m able to affordable them when the time they are release.
Sorely tempted to get Nanoha; the other StrikerS figures thus far have been pretty bad. I’m sure they’d sell more if they did one of her in the “atama hiyase” pose, though… XD
That Q-six Linda looks very nice. Any chance we’ll see a cold-cast or PVC version in the future?
That’s what I am hoping for Al. I would love to have one.
>>Al, Jeff Flowers
If Q-six’s previous release pattern holds it seems likely we’ll see the Linda kit appear in a cold cast incarnation within the next several months. There is no precedent for a PVC release, sadly, and I doubt this will be the first – we can always hope, though.
… I might have to get the Kanu repaint… but man that’s a lotta dough, on top of the original… but I did order both versions of the Daiki Toushirou Mai, so… I might be obligated to…
>>Shingo
That’s good to hear. The only kits I’m qualified to assemble are IKEA furniture and the only thing I’m qualified to paint is a wall.
