A quick roundup of figure news from the past couple of days, including the announcement of a Zero no Tsukaima Tabitha figure from Kotobukiya, an opulent Valkyrie Profile Lenneth from Square Enix, a line of Street Fighter Revoltech action figures coming from Kaiyodo, and the release of several highly anticipated items including Max Factory’s Mitsumasa-sculpted Ino from Guilty Gear. Read on for more:
Preorders

- Kotobukiya opened preorders yesterday for a Tabitha PVC from Zero no Tsukaima. She’s 1/8 scale (20 cm tall) and comes with a removable cloak, and is set for release in May at 5,040 yen. The sculptor is at this point unknown. On the heels of the recently announced Tabitha pillowcase she’s sure seeing a lot of love this week…

- As of yesterday preorders for this magnificent Lenneth polystone figure from Square Enix’s Valkyrie Profile. The production credit goes to the “Square Enix Merchandising Department”, so who knows what that means, but it’s hard to argue the epic status of this kit. Standing at 42 cm in height, it’ll run you a cool 56,700 yen when it’s released in May. According to the Amiami listing the figure was originally scheduled for an October release last year but was pushed back, which would probably account for why I thought I’d seen it before… strictly speaking this isn’t a new preorder, but one worth noting regardless.

- As mentioned in our last figure post, Max Factory’s Figma Lelouche action figure from Code Geass was unsealed yesterday. It’s now up for preorder around the internets with a March street date and a sculpting credit to Masaki Apsy, and is scheduled to retail at 2,500 yen and 16 cm tall.
Other News

- A line of Kaiyodo’s Revoltech action figures has been announced on the official Revoltech blog to correspond with the release of Street Fighter Online Mouse Generation. Other than the fact that the figures are currently in the planning stages not much is known about them, but we’ll be keeping an eye open for further information.

Ohhhhhhhhhhh………….so many figures……you’re so evil Shingo. So little will power…….
$$$ not like I need food or anything!!
Andddd the revoltech Street Fighter figures looks nice too……..
I’ve had Ino on preorder since the day my source had first listed her, can’t wait.
Probably will have to get the Chun-Li Revoltech do to my insane Chun-Li addiction. I’d kinda prefer Daiki PVCs of Toushirou’s 2 versions of Chun-Li, and a Max Factory of that new Hamasaki (which is very similar to one of the Toushirou sculpts) but… I suppose for now the Revoltech will have to do.
Also, I got a first run edition of the Melissa, and I just want to say that all though small, this one is a real stunner and I highly recommend it to anyone considering her.
that would be ‘although’ not ‘all though’ in my last post… wish there was an edit function… and I was a better typist.
Yeah….I’m looking at Melissa now at a sight to also get Makimoto as well.
2008………year of the poverty.
heh.
Dark Elf by Goodsmile from Lineage II is also up for preorder tonight – though it they’re only selling it through the goodsmile website http://www.goodsmile.info/products/others/ohters/dark0703-01.html
Hopefully benippon or playasia will pick it up.
Mitsumasa’s/Reflects I-no’s top is most likely non removable.. she stand about 23.5cm to the top of her head. thus somewhat in-scale with other Mitsumasa’s sculpts, Non-non, Rei, Cammy, Sera, Roxanne, Shii and tallest of the bunch Poison (the only one with a Y chromosome/height boosted by Testosterone). Her hat is also not meant to be removable.
Mitsumasa-san also sculpted a more slender Chun-Li that stands 28/29cm… thus will be out of scale with the rest of her brethren.
Seeing the Melissa Seraphy figure again, reminds me how I regret not buying it when it was put on “sale” at a local toystore for under $20… T_T
On the other hand, its about time Revoltech ventured to the all-time favorite Street Fighter series!
Needs Siesta and Henrietta figures.
[…] Sure, that computer Street Fighter Online Mouse Generation game is fugly, but these toys the game is based on look nice! This line of Kaiyodo’s Revoltech action figs has been announced and is in the planning stages — beyond that, we don’t know much. Well, other than that they look cool as toys and like shit as a game. New SF Toys [Revoltech Express via Heisei Democracy] […]

Haven’t received my Ino to confirm if there are nips casted underneath that collar, but I remembered the original resin kit actually have exposed nips.
Still, my hopes isn’t too high on a nippled Ino. (Capcom doesn’t license body accurate figures beyond those WonderFest resins so far. See Daiki’s Cobra-Kai’s Mina and Mai for examples. I mean, if they wanted to showcase ero Capcom PVC figures, Cobra-Kai works are some of the best out there, isn’t it? 8)
