Shine na Blog brings word today of two new Shining Wind figures in planning. The first is an Elwin / Elwyn (new costume ver.) PVC from Kotobukiya, 1/8 scale with a sculpt from Nakamura Hirotoshi. No news on price or release date is yet available; further information is expected in early spring. The second new figure is from Wave, and features Xecty in a sleeping pose. At 1/8 scale she’s speculated to be part of their DreamTech line, with an original pose based on an illustration from page five of the Shining Wind design works visual collection artbook. The figure’s gimmicks are a) a “soft part” torso extending down to her thighs, b) her one-piece dress is made of “very soft material”, and c) an exchangeable “sleeping face” head part. Some castoffability is implied, though the extent is not known. A color version of this figure is expected to be on display at Wonder Festival 2008 Winter on February 24th; we’ll be keeping an eye out for further information. (no more)

My weakness for all things Shining and Tony is making these both very interesting. Wonder what the Wave will cost… I bet the Koto will be 6090yen or 5775yen and probably $50 MSRP here in the states. Hard to tell how good the sculpt really is on the Xecty in grey-scale proto. The Elwin looks very nice, and I like that they are doing the Wind X Tears new outfit look.
Very beautiful figures! Very nice and happy.
Yeah, the Xecty doesn’t look too bad, but the grey type of figure doesn’t show her off very well..
The Elwing, on the other hand, is a must-have for me. I really love happy faces on figures, and so this Elwing is a must. Plus, Kotobukiya had yet to announce an Elwing figure, so this is it. ^^
hmm interesting I just found out what a trackback/pingback is! Didn’t know what they were so imagine the look on my face when I saw a snippet from my post here lol.
Anyway so yea sorry Shingo that was my blog that sent that trackback notice over here. Just started my first blog so I’m still figuring things out and don’t know if doing this without notification is bad blogging etiquette or something haha. I think I’ve turned it off for now.
So about those figures…I’m looking forward to seeing how the double soft material on Xecty will make the figure stand out!
very good news
The Elwing looks kind of chubby. Will wait to see her in colour before deciding. On the other hand, that Xecty is a must-buy.

No problem, it’s not a big deal. ^^ It’s a function you can toggle on or off as you see fit, I don’t think most bloggers mind seeing trackbacks show up in comments (and if they do they can delete them themselves).
Xecty looks yummy.
Yea Xecty looks good even though i’m not really into sculpts with these kinda faces, but i gotta see the end product of this, so far it looks good.
If the Wave version of Xecty is accurate to the illustration, I will probably buy one for my collection… ^_^
