From your report it sounds like you had an absolute blast Shingo! A question I’ve got is this:Is it possible for a tourist to set up a table at Comiket? If so how far in advance of the event do the forms etc need to be filled out etc? Last but not least, would they allow english language doujinshi?

Shingo, though you are respectably humble about your position, you are my hero. Man, the exotic foreigner factor you mention, being a gaijin in those places, for me, would be so extremely interesting and engaging. I would savor being “crazy gaijin” with great pride. Awesome Shingo!

If you take a look at the map layout you’ll see that when I say “corner table” I mean “corner of one of the sea of anonymous islands in the vast middle of the hall”, a position not particularly advantageous for selling. All of the biggest circles (such as Itou Noiji’s) ring the outer perimeter of the hall, so that fans can line up for them outside. My position was only slightly better than one in “mid-island”, and definitely par for the course as far as what’s doled out to insignificant circles such as myself.

Yeah, I was surprised to see you get a corner table, considering (not to be rude) you aren’t as popular as say, Noizi Itoh. I do wonder if the people who bought your doujin are pleased with it.
Also, I want a copy, out of curiosity.
