Two pieces of news on the PVC front this evening: first is word from Griffon that their gothic lolita Haruhi kit from Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuuutsu is scheduled for release in PVC. She’s 1/7 scale with a retail price of 7,500 yen, and currently without a release date specified; currently only Griffon has her available for preorder on their site but presumably other retailers will carry her as well. Sculpt from Yamamoto Masahiro. Next, word is in from Yamato that the alternate color version of Aruma we’ve seen lurking around for a month or so is dubbed Anne-Rose, and will see release in April of next year at 7.140 yen and 30 cm tall (1/6 scale?). Sculpt is from Tandem Twin, and preorders are expected shortly. (no more)
Thanks for the scoop. Hmm…the Gothic Lolita Haruhi looks really good. Will keep an eye out for her. 8)
As for Anne-Rose, I expected as much from Yamato with a re-colour version. I guess I will order 1 of her too. 8) One thing I like about Tandem Twins figures is that they are big (30cm) and to scale. No cheating unlike some manufacturers (Orchid Seed…) we know. 8)
Strangely I have no Haruhis on my shelf yet… must correct the anomaly soon.
Looking at Griffons site, it seems resin kits are now just a sideline – I stopped making these when one too many figures I’d built were subsequently issued as PVC! PVC figures are also much harder to pirate… fairly soon actual kits will go back to being a very niche interest for the more obscure (or extreme) subjects larger manufacturers won’t touch.
Funny how the 1/7 is more expensive than the 1/6.
I love Yamato and Tandem Twin’s PVCs, and Anne-Rose is a no-brainer for my collection. Big, to scale, beautifully sculpted, and the repaints are always very different, also this one has a different chest armor piece.
I love the new Tandem- But I already ordered the original and I can’t afford to get all the repaints too. Oh well.
Great info though!! Do I have to wait until march though to get her??? Awwwwwwwwwwww
Hobby Search has Haruhi listed as April:

Definitely getting her! This is one nice figure from Griffon, and may be the first good one I’ll get from them..
