>>Terry Bogard
We've been following Moegaku since late 2005 (see here for a list of relevant posts, and I think your assumption is definitely correct; it's a pretty straightforward Moetan ripoff, though of ridiculously low quality by comparison. This is why I'm so puzzled at Hirano's involvement...

>>Richard "Pocky" Kim
I'm curious as to what voice she'll use both for the character and for her live action persona (and if they'll have her speaking English, or other non-Japanese languages). Should be a trip, that's for sure.

>>Tyrenol
Hirano Aya's involvement aside, I don't believe Kyoto Animation has anything to do with this production. It's airing from 9:00 to 9:15 on weekday mornings, not exactly the typical late night otaku time slot - but the fact that the five weekly 15-minute episodes are rebroadcast in one bunch on Sunday nights does seem rather otaku oriented. Looks like they're trying to hit both preschool and otaku markets with one show...

Pardon me for having this sour taste in my mouth.

I'm not in the mood to wonder what type of character Aya will give Goddess-tan. Her playing that b#### Haruhi was too much for me.

Plus I'm now sick to the stomach of anything by Kyoto Animation and any anime that plays after 0100 in Japan.

I have... no words.

Though I will admit, Aya as a meganekko gengo goddess makes me smile. :3

This is probably owing to Moetan's popularity.

>>Anonymous
I should've been clearer - the game is not targeted at children, but the anime (given its timeslot, content description and pairing with a live action segment) certainly is.

>the fact that they’re trying to teach children five languages simultaneously

from what I can see, children aren't the main audience, if at all.

No wonder english is never "caught-on" in japan.
