I pulled the plastic backing out last night and found it to be a much more satisfactory experience (I didn’t feel like I was breaking anything when I held the pillow anymore). The slippage seems to be about the same with or without, for me at least. I hope the stitching in that part holds up.

What really remains is to see how it stands up in a wash.(I'm a bit scared of trying that...) I am surprised to see that the bust isn't aligned and fastened into place though. I was expecting them to do that so the nipples wouldn't slide around, and possibly make washing easier. Oh well... Good review!
