This crept up on me with no warning at all: today was the fall 2007 incarnation of the Miyazawa Model Exhibition, apparently, and Akiba Hobby and Moeyo! Akibajin Blog were both out in force to cover the event. Nearly all of the major PVC makers were there, many with new or newly-painted items on display; it’ll take a little while to figure out what’s what, but from the coverage online thus far I’m personally most excited at the sight of Figma Kanu Unchou, Alter’s Kanu PVC, an alternate color Daiki Mai, WAP’s Garnet in PVC, this Rei (new from Wave?), a third C-Works Bible Black (Shiraki Rika?) figure, and a whole lot more… be sure to check out both reviews for all the action! We’ll pull together what solid information we can as it’s forthcoming. (no more)
After browsering through the list of goodness, some personal picks includes:
– Feena
– Makoto (pre-ordering soon)
– Tsuruya ( pre-ordering soon) and
– Reinforce.
I’m guess the Reinforce is produced by Alter unless somebody can confirm it’s from a different company.
Looks like it’s gonna be an expensive year.
Alter’s Kanu looks great, wonder when she’ll be release
So many excellent Kanu figures coming out of the wood works recently. I don’t think my wallet can handle it!
But yea, Alter’s Kanu looks very nice. Rei doesn’t look too bad either.
BTW Shingo, your link for “both” is missing a “h” in the “http” ;)
are those rei and asuka kimono figure at the bottom of akihabara.net out yet?
Alter’s Kanu! – Must buy!
>>Optical
The Reinforce is from Alter, yeah. An expensive year indeed. ;_;
>>valho
That’s one we’ll be watching very, very closely.
>>moyism
Haha, thanks for the tipoff on the missing “h”. Link fixed. orz
>>fake
I’m not seeing anything at akihabara.net other than a search page… If you mean Akiba Hobby, nothing shown on that page has been released yet, to my knowledge (there are some alternate color versions of kits that have already been released).
>>Y
So true, I’m guessing that’s going to be one that may vanish in preorder.
Do I see a sculpt of that infamous Spica chick about to be mass PVC-ed? If so hell YES.
>>byaku-chan
Alas, you do not. Like Uran before her she’s still scheduled for release as a doujin figure.
Wrrrrrryyyyy ;____; (Someone needs to pick the brains of people in the PVC figure industry re: mechanics of demand)
Heh….kinda liking the Dark Saber- although the difference of her face is putting me off a bit since that is what i loved about the original.
Feena looks cute as hell but I will have to check my expenses if I am going to take the plunge on her.
The Win-Chan is a keeper IK have her in my cart from one place and it looks like she is staying there….
> Shingo
Shucks…too bad. I was hoping to get an original Spica (completed PVC or resin kit) this time around. :(
Guess I might have to really consider a proxy service soon…
cut and pasted from another topic:
> Daiki’s Mai
Here’s hoping to see the alter color Mai for general release soon. :D
And yes, that black colour scheme reminds me of the event only black and gold Kasumi, which saw the a large number of bootlegs in auction sites/retail shops. :/
Here’s hoping Daiki knows better to keep the profits for themselves and do a general release for Mai fans. :)
> Alter Kanu
Is this Alter’s 1st Ikkitosen figure?
I wonder if she’s castoffable. Either way, I think this will be the first Ikkitosen figure I buy because it’s Ikkitosen. Alter quality looks great.
> Shiori (Witchblade)
WOOHOO! I don’t remember her ever appearing in a bikini in the TV anime. But I’m not complaining. She appears even bigger than Masane. :D
> Bible black figures from C-works
Please, please, please, improve on your quality. You know you have a money printing licence here. So do it properly. :/
> Gundam Char’s Sazabi
Only mecha I collect. Any more info on that figure? Completed? plastic kit with metallic finishing? etc. Thanks.
Alter’s is the best Ikki Tousen figure I’ve seen so far beside Orchid Seed’s Ryomou.
Thanks Shingo for the heads up, I was waiting for Kanu.
Can someone please tell me where this figure comes from? I’ve seen it somewhere before I just can’t pin it down.

That is the fourth figure in Goodsmile / Red Entertainment’s multimedia figure project Shuraki lineup. Her name is Needa, she is designed by Yamashita Shunya and sculpted by Hagii Shunji, and preorders for her are expected to open either at the end of this month or in December. Hope that helps!
