GA Graphic brings the scoop this evening that (in)famous rookie figure brand Taki Corporation will be producing a PVC figure of Ikkitousen’s Ryomou Shimei that, like the rest of their lineup, is looking to be fully castoffable. Unlike Taki’s Kanu Unchou they’re not content to merely strip Ryomou down, providing her with a bunny suit and an alternate pair of legs to change into should she tire of her standard maid outfit. For those interested the figure clocks in at 1/6 scale (15.7 cm tall) and is scheduled to go on sale in January at 9,240 yen; while her production quality doesn’t look much better than what we’ve seen from Taki before I have to confess to being tempted by the prospect of a nekkid Ryomou adorning my shelf… Pilfered GA gallery below:
To be honest, there’s just way too many Ikkitousen pvcs out there! I don’t think I’ll be able to collect them all and yes, Taki previously released Kanu Unchou is a bit disappointing.
Think i’ll go for this, price is a little steep perhaps, but I guess it looks like it has lots of options. It would also be my first ‘Ryomou Shimei’, all my other Ikkitousen figures are either Kanu Unchou and Hakafu Sonsaku.
This one does look a lot better than their Kanu but I will have to wait for more pics to decide if I take the plunge on this one.
Remember folks: Taki = lousy quality… Hope Yamato will include a great Ryomou in their Dynamite series ! Suspense of their Kanu is killing me ;)
Credit’s where credit’s worth - this one has a good face sculpt and a good pose. I am tempted to preorder this.

Yamato’s not recognised for their consistent quality either. Just ask people who collect their macross range. I just hope their new dynamite range has better QC. I did preorder their Kanu. :)
I really agree with Cloudkun. I know it’s a popular series, but it seems like there’s a new Ikkitousen figure every week.
Stick with what sells, I guess…
This one looks a lot better than the Kanu one. No more high gloss skin. I would like to see more pictures of the figure before making a final decision.
