[ERO] Figure News: Q-Six’s original Linda-designed resin kit complete, preorder expected soon

The fifth installment in [ERO] resin manufacturer Q-Six‘s “collaboration series” is finally complete! Dubbed Hitozuma Fujisaki Yukiko, the kit brings together the design talent of eromanga artist and illustrator LINDA with the sculpting prowess of Honda Heihachi. We don’t have official word yet on when she’ll be released, but I’m guessing we’ll see preorders open within the month for the limited “special parts” version; I mention this here because odds are decent that she’ll see life (and general release) as a cold cast as well, and this is a good time as any for interested parties to prime their wallets. In resin form she is 1/6 scale and set to retail at 16,590 yen. An alternately censored picture of the kit can be found here, giving just a hint at what the lower part looks like… (no more)

Editor’s Desk: chronicling the erosion of 2D free speech

Whether you’re a fan of loli or kyonyuu, futanari or shota, twins or tentacles, figures, anime, manga, or doujinshi, increased public scrutiny in Japan is affecting the nature of your hobby – right now. What follows is a reckoning of events that while superficially disconnected combine to show the changing face of otaku media, a landscape less colorful and varied in its delights and perversions than it once was, and one that may never be the quite same again.

[ERO] Figure News: Taki Corporation presents Ikkitousen’s Ryomou Shimei in full castoff

GA Graphic brings the scoop this evening that (in)famous rookie figure brand Taki Corporation will be producing a PVC figure of Ikkitousen‘s Ryomou Shimei that, like the rest of their lineup, is looking to be fully castoffable. Unlike Taki’s Kanu Unchou they’re not content to merely strip Ryomou down, providing her with a bunny suit and an alternate pair of legs to change into should she tire of her standard maid outfit. For those interested the figure clocks in at 1/6 scale (15.7 cm tall) and is scheduled to go on sale in January at 9,240 yen; while her production quality doesn’t look much better than what we’ve seen from Taki before I have to confess to being tempted by the prospect of a nekkid Ryomou adorning my shelf… Pilfered GA gallery below:

Figure News: today’s Amiami preorders include Shana, Kinoshita Rumi, Kaibutsu Oujo

Amiami put four new bishoujo PVC figures up for preorder over the noon hour today! First up was Pia Carrot he Youkoso!! G.O.‘s Kinoshita Rumi (devil type), due out from Yamato in February at 7,140 yen retail. Next was this Shana (china bikini ver.) from Shakugan no Shana II, coming from Kotobukiya also in February at 5,040 yen (a derivative of the earlier listed “candy bikini” Shana). Finally there are pages up for Chrono Gate’s Hime and Kamura Reiri from Kaibutsu Oujo, both due out in March at ~1/8 scale and an astounding 8,379 yen retail. It seems high priced dioramas are a new fad… (no more)
