[...] Halko Momoi’s Anime Expo Concert to Hit DVD in January On January 1 of next year, the d?jinshi goods distributor and retailer Toranoana will release a DVD of Halko Momoi’s July 2 live concert at Anime Expo 2007. The Momoi! World Tour 2007 in L.A. DVD will feature 13 songs by the otaku singer/songwriter who has been nicknamed the “Queen of Akihabara” (the pop culture shopping district in Tokyo). In addition to the concert, the 7,560-yen (US$65.81) DVD will feature documentary segments of Momoi’s activities offstage. It’s a bummer that only Tora is stocking it. I wonder if they’ll arrange some deal for it to be distributed in the US… If not there are always proxy services. :/

The concert was amazing and I’m excited to see the DVD :) The downside is it’s only for sale at Tora no Ana (doesn’t ship overseas…)

Yeah, he was! That was a totally amazing surprise. My only critique of the concert was that his guitar work was a bit off on the encore, but his renditions of Nihon Break Kougyou and My Pace Daiou were absolutely outstanding.

yes i heard it was a great concert. and yes the ax staff totally suck but what can you expect from people getting paid with free room, and pass.
